"Heavens" means sky; there, "God created the sky and the earth..." or something like that. It's not the same "Heaven" as we often think of.

Well, it could mean that, but if it does, why didn't the Bible say firmament? I guess that is one of those questions we will have to ask God when we get to Heaven
