My entire family used to play the old classic Commander Keen computer games. I was just curious if anybody else had ever played it.

Dude, yes! My ex-boyfriend adored that game (he used to play it when he was younger), so he had all of my family play it. It was ok, obviously very old, and not the most exciting game I've ever played, but ok.

I have indeed played these games. The original was good fun back when I was young and we installed games from hard and soft floppy disks.
I played the first and loved it. I also played a strange version with human eating fruit... it kind of creeped me out. I wouldn't play that one again probably.

My brother has it on his computer too. One of his friends knew all these cheat codes. For invincibility, flying, millions of points and icecream cones...that game was fun...I like old school gaming. Fo SHO!

I have heard of the Commander Keen games, but have only played it once very briefly at a friend's house. Don't remember much about it. We do still have similiar games: SAM1 and Crystal Caves! \:D/

I don't speak in the manner in which I am about to talk often, but I believe the occassion warrants such an outburst:

Ah, that felt good. ;)

I used to play it so much my hands were still playing even after I had left the computer. I haven't played in awhile though.
Someone mentioned Crystal Caves, Good times, Good times.[/img]

To those concerned readers that were wondering... this translates into "Crystal Caves Roxxors!" I was certainly not "cartoon swearing"!

Just wanted to clarify... O:) :detective:

Took me a while, but I managed to figure it out before reading the "answer."
1337-$|>33|< 0\/\/|\|$ _|00! :D

Ontopic- I've never played it- it reminds me of this browser-based game called "Superkid"...

I found out they released a commander keen game boy color game. I played it, it was okay, but nothing like the game with the man-eating veggitables.

We used to have one of the first versions of Duke Nukem (before they got into sex and violence). The villian in the game told Duke something to the effect of "I've defeated Commander Keen, I'll take care of you too!"
That was the one of the first times I had heard of Commander Keen.
