Announcing... ToO TV!!!

Post by Eugene »

Ladies and Gentlemen, anouncing the arrival of...
Image
Check it out!
At long last, I am pleased to announce the launch of ToO TV! \:D/

For those who don't know, ToO TV is an online application developed by Eugene that brings together Adventures in Odyssey Podcasts, fan videos, and other media. Users on the ToO will be able to upload their own videos and purchase (in ToO currency, of course) their own channels. But please note that we haven't been able to set up a system to upload videos yet. That functionality will be coming sometime in the future. However, we have filled it with many of the AIO podcasts and we'll be sure to keep it updated as new podcast episodes come out.

There is one thing you have to do before you can access ToO TV. You must install the free Microsoft Silverlight plug-in. Go get that and install it. Once you have that, you're ready to go! To access the ToO TV page, either find the link in the navigation bar, or type http://www.thetoo.com/tv into your browser. One more note, ToO TV won't work in Firefox. I know why, but I can't fix it with the current set-up. This will also be fixed later in the future.

So, check it out, tell us what you think, make suggestions, and enjoy! :D If you need help, visit the ToO TV help centre by clicking the "help" link in ToO TV. If you can't find help there, leave a message here or send me a PM.

Thanks!

It's even because King Regis put it into action instead of that old Stapler team. \:D/ \:D/

I do have one problem; my computer is too slow (I have dial-up) so that I can't watch it. :(

I feel your pain, since I have dial-up internet too. :( But I'm glad that this fun feature is available for the rest of the folks who can access it on their super-fast internet connections! :D Thanks, Eugene.

This looks awesome! Although I have no idea what Silverlight is, and if it's not already on our computer then my dad probably won't allow installation.

Do you know what Adobe Flash is? Well, Silverlight is like that - except that it's free to develop on. Which is why ToO TV is built on it.

Thanks to everyone for the comments! I'm glad that you like it! :D Though I'm sorry that you can't access it, Catspaw and Stop Wooton' Around. I could post a screenshot, if you want. :-

Remember that if you have any complaints or suggestions, feel free to let me know! :)

She left many of us behind. She left us heartbroken. And though we cry now there'll come a time when we'll laugh. Because we'll see her again someday. We'll be with her in heaven. And when we go to heaven she'll be there to greet us. She'll be there to say "Welcome home." -From a poem that SnC wrote about her grandmother

Adobe Flash is free to develop on, you don't have to pay any licensing fees or anything like that, most developer tools put out by Adobe cost money, but there are plenty of free open source alternatives.
