Twilight or Harry Potter

Harry Potter. hands down. I don't think Twilight is horrible, but Harry Potter is still a LOT better.

Twilight was terrible until around page 300. Then there was a little action, but before that it was just lame.

They should combine them both in a huge crossover.

Uhh... then why create this thread? :?

;)

I voted for "I hate them both!!!" No interest whatsoever in either series.

I hate to burst your bubble Top, but that might be construed as cruel and unusual punishment ;)

And if that didn't clue anyone in, I'm not a fan of either.

when I first read Twilight, I thought it was boring until the action picked up at the end. But when I read it about a year later, I liked it more. But I still stand by what I said earlier, that Harry Potter is a lot better in many ways.

I have to second this. There's enough shouting about how much we like the books and movies we like around here; devoting a topic to hating them seems like overkill.

That said, I voted for Harry Potter. This might not be fair, since I haven't read very much of Twilight at all, but... well, I would like to stress that I actually have nothing against a good love story. By all accounts, Twilight doesn't even qualify as that, though I would be willing to listen to a defense of it. (Basically, you'll need more to convince me than PURE LOVE WHAT REQUIRES NO EXPLANATION OR BASIS ON ACCOUNT OF IT IS REAL TRUE LOVE LOVE LOVE FOREVER LOVE AND ALSO BEAUTIFUL. And vampires.)

Sparkling vampires and sparkling magic notwithstanding, all signs point toward the Harry Potter books being better stories. If I'm missing something... well, something tells me I won't learn what it is here.

I never read them.

BUT I STILL HAT THEM.
So you lost your trust,
And you never should have.
No, you never should have.
But don't break your back
If you ever see this,
But don't answer that.

I'll be doing my best
I'll see you soon.

Yeah, me too! :x

But yeah I didn't vote. I would choose Harry Potter as the best... because I haven't read any of the books or seen any of the movies. I saw the movie version of Twilight so it loses by default. :(

I should probably go and vote the HAT option now, though.

The war between HP and Twilight!

Harry vs Bella

Ginny vs Edward

Hermione vs Rosalie

Ron vs Emmett

Molly vs Esme

Arthur vs Carlisle

And so on...(I think we all know who would win, hands down, but I figured I might as well mention it...)

One on one each? I hate to say it, but if it came to a fight, I would bet on the Cold Ones -- even if the books aren't good, that doesn't keep them from being superhuman whatchamcallits.

Hee hee. "Cold One". Sorry, obscure reference there.

and why is there another topic about Harry Potter......

I can't really vote, seeing as I've never read the books but I've seen all the HP movies and half of the Twilight movie.
From personal views I dislike both......but from the way the movies were made I'd have to say HP was way better then Twilight. Twilight quickly bored me. I can't see what people see in Edward. Belle was just....I don't know....I just didn't really like it. I couldn't even finish the movie and have never even considered watching the second. Harry Potter was far more interesting and the plot was done far better.
But I still don't like either \:D/

Doesn't matter how superhuman they are. If Ginny was against Edward, for example, she could just immobilize him and toss him out.

I have a response to that, but I've seen too many "who would win" debates get ugly quickly. In any case, on the off chance that they did meet, I wouldn't expect a "Cullens vs. Hogwarts" brawl to occur.
