Sonic the Hedgehog

Post by TigerintheShadows »

...Music, that is.

Seriously, though, I LOVE the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Sonic Riders is perhaps my favorite, but I like a lot of the other games.

Thoughts?

The older Sega Genesis generation of games was decently fun but I could never get into the Dreamcast and onward 3D games. Although Sonic 4 is back to its roots and looks cool.

Could you elaborate, please? ;)

I've liked the 3D games--except for Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic '06; those games bug me.

We have some.. demo or messed up version of an old Sonic game somewhere on the computer. And the music from it. Sonic 2, I think.

The old Sonic is incredibly difficult for nine year olds. :(

^^^Really? :-s I used to play it at my cousins' house as a small tot. \:D/

I like the originial Sonic games, but the new ones are too weird. They came down with a bad case of comic book syndrome--everyone expanded on them until they were all magic-filled and bizarre. :(

Yeah he used to just hang with his little animal friends but one day he was a weird cartoony talking animal spending time with normal people--and that's just weird.

I've always been a fan of Sonic and company. These days, I have fun poking at the plot (and failing to do any more about it -- darn my self-stifled creative impulses!) when I play them again. I've gotten some pretty good dialogues going when there's someone else in the room, but that's common for video games in general.

Sonic the Fighters was surprisingly good, for what it was.

I refuse to buy a Sonic game until they bring back the Chao Garden. And no, the garden in Sonic Chronicles was not enough to justify me buying it.

I don't like all the "gods" and the magic stuff. It's Archie's fault; let's blame them. :D I never really liked the Archie series much--the art style is its only redeeming quality.
