State of the ToO Address!

Hello, all you wonderful ToOers! \:D/ If you're wondering why racecar hasn't done something cool already, it's because I've been toying with the government-issued smartphone Dan gave me I've been ill for the past couple of days. :(


However, I'm recovering quickly and now ready to announce that cash-per-word is now in effect! \:D/ You will receive $.02 per word in a post, similar to as it was in the days before the evils of phpbb3. ;) This is to encourage longer, more meaningful posts. Note that you will still receive no money in HH and most factions where you normally receive no money. If you notice any bugs in the system, let us know!


In other news, we're finalizing the mod list and hope to maybe announce the mods today or tomorrow, depending on how long it takes for the mods to respond to our PM's. ;) I'll also probably be sending out Who's Who forms later this week; Who's Who should officially start February 12 and be a weekly feature for every Friday from then on. As far as contests go, I'm going to try to start the first one next week... but I can't promise. ;)


Anyway, I have to get back to testing out this smartphone administrative duties. Have fun making more money. \:D/

To update, we've finally cleared up the red tape and are now just awaiting a couple more answers to PM's from the mods. I'm sorry it took so long, but my internet connection has been kinda weird the past few days, but it's finally fixed. The mod list should be up soon. Really. Hope. Change we can believe in.



Also, cash-per-character has been switched to cash-per-word to better reflect the previous earnings in phpbb2. Before, we earned half of a cent ($.005) per character, but in the current MOD, one cent appears to be the minimum. Instead of having everyone make double the money, we decided to switch it to $.02 per word. Hope you guys aren't too devastated. ;) (I bet you didn't even notice. :noway:)
