Fanfiction

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Fanfiction

Do you read and/or write fanfiction? If you don't know, fanfiction is a story that one writes based on an original work, such as Little House on the Prairie, Maximum Ride, etc. but you make up part of the story. It could range anything from creating a new plot for the known characters (A New Arrival In Town) to What-If stories (What If Laura Had Gotten Kidnapped By Indians?) to taking your characters to an entirely new setting (Laura Ingalls goes to France).
The possibilities are effectively infinite.

Discuss.

I always write fanfiction.. Odyssey, CSI (all three), Prison Break... and maybe something else once in a while. Odyssey mainly... I read it sometimes, but it has to be specific... and GOOD!!!

I love writing it though... *dreamy eyes*

I really enjoy reading fanfic, but I haven't really written any. A few little things here and there, but nothing worth talking about. ;) I really enjoy how something can be expanded so much through fanfiction. Little missing scenes can be filled in. Couples can be brought together that never made it together on the actual show/movie/book etc. And cool new adventures can take place in other times, other worlds, or other times in people's lives. There's a lot of lame fanfic out there, but really good fanfic is wonderful!

But I gave up reading fanfic for a few weeks, and this is just making me want to read it, so I need to stop talking about how much I like it. ;)

I started writing a Passages story, but I haven't finished it yet. I also have several ideas for other AIO fanfic stories, but I haven't gotten around to writing them...

She left many of us behind. She left us heartbroken. And though we cry now there'll come a time when we'll laugh. Because we'll see her again someday. We'll be with her in heaven. And when we go to heaven she'll be there to greet us. She'll be there to say "Welcome home." -From a poem that SnC wrote about her grandmother

You can suggest categories on FanFiction.net, and I was thinking about suggesting AIO as a category, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.. :anxious:

The core problem I have is that when it's good it's often really good, but usually when it's bad it's terrible.
(With a brief side category reserved for Half Life: Full-Life Consequences.)

I would write some but it would all be fixated around secondary characters because I always get ridiculously attached to them somehow
"Sonuna" Taranimak ("Sonuna" Sharkquill) has been content lately. She admired own very fine Bed recently. She talked with a parent recently. She talked with a friend recently. She had a good meal recently. She admired a fine tastefully-arranged Desk recently.
She is a citizen of The United States of America. She is a member of The State of Minnesota. She is a member of The Town of Odyssey.
"Sonuna" Taranimak likes Bauxite, Copper, Green jade, the color navy, cloaks, ballistas, cats for their aloofness and hydras for their seven heads. When possible, she prefers to consume Dr Pepper and ramen.
She lives at a relaxed pace. She tends to avoid crowds. She has a fertile imagination. She is completely disorganized. She is very distant and reserved. She tends not to openly express emotions. She needs caffeine to get through the working day.

There's some great Twilight/Narnia/Star Trek crossover fan fiction that I wrote lurking around on my computer's hard drive somewhere.

... Or not.

I am not a fan of fanfiction. I prefer stories that are considered Canon in any given universe...Especially Star Wars...lol

I used to read Fan Fiction, particularly about Phantom of the Opera, but unfortunately, most of the stories had inappropriate content in them, so I digress. But I like the concept of taking characters from a movie or book and making your own sort of story.

Till the end of the line.
