Red

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

Maybe his mother liked naming her children after colors and he has a brother named Green and a sister named Pink.

You never know. He's supposed to be a Wooton-ish character, which means that he could do/have any of the above!

I read a book with an older, grandfatherly kind of character nicknamed Red, so until something refutes that notion, that's how I will picture Red. Though I guess it could be a grown-up Liz. "Don't you see? I'm Red!"

In The Ultimate Gift, there is a kind old man nicknamed Red in a red T-shirt. But I imagine the AIO Red with somewhat longish hair...sorry!

They described him a lot like Wooton, unfortunately, and there is not enough Odyssey for two Wootons.

I agree completely. I really like Wooton as a character (Sorry to all the Wooton haters) however, Wooton pretty much has the job of crazy, care free, fun loving, personality covered.

Yep. Using my signature for a shameless plug. But trust me. If I can be so arrogant, I think it'll be worth your time.

I also agree. Wooton is one of my top five or ten favorite characters, but I wouldn't be able to stand having another person like him.

Congrats, MnT! :D He sounds like a Wootonish character, but I hope he isn't.

Well, let's hope he's like Wooton on a funny day.

Well, on those days when Wooton's absurdity is actually considered funny by most of us--in some episodes the writing for him is actually a little bit annoying, but on other days his character is considered funny. Let's hope that Red is more of the latter than the former. Besides, he's supposed to be the new owner of the Harlequin Theatre, isn't he, so maybe he'll be like a mixture of Walter Shakespeare, Edwin Blackgaard, and Wooton.

A mixture of Shakespeare, Blackgaard, and Wooton equals a quiet, but funny person with periodic bursts of anger, I guess...

:soap: I don't get why they have to write off Edwin. I know the actor lives in Hawaii but that doesn't mean that they have to write the character off the show. They didn't write off Whit, Eugene, Bart, or Tom, and my guess is they aren't going to write off Bernard.
