I would agree that they aren't just for boys, especially considering ODH is reading them possibly more viscously than I did.

Maximum Ride is not a just a boy series considering the romance thats in there and the fact that quite a few girls like and/or love them.

After being convinced to read it by Invisible Ninja, I will say that Maximum Ride is definitely not only for Boys. (Although, I'm rather a tomboy so my opinion may not be entirely valid ) In the first place, the main character is a girl, and does think like a girl. Also, despite an abnormal amount of violence and action, that does appeal to some girls, and there are still other things to recommend it.
