Writing? LOTR. Special effects? LOTR. Production quality? LOTR. Story? LOTR. Acting? LOTR.

LOTR for the win.
So you lost your trust,
And you never should have.
No, you never should have.
But don't break your back
If you ever see this,
But don't answer that.
In a bullet proof vest
With the windows all closed,
I'll be doing my best
I'll see you soon.

LOTR. Star Wars is awesome, but I can't ignore the lame prequels. LOTR is nearly perfect. \:D/

:highfive: Star Wars is definitely more beast! The prequels aren't that great, but I love the original trilogy far more than I like LOTR, and I still haven't seen It's a Wonderful Life, so it was an easy choice for me! 8-)

I would vote for Star Wars but the prequels made me go postal. So LOTR it is \:D/

Scratch that, the awesomeness of the originals make it hard for me to decide :(

Star Wars, hands down. LotR isn't nearly as dear to my heart as Star Wars is. Yes, I know the SW prequels are generally lame, but I shall faithfully defend them if only because they are part of the Star Wars saga.

Till the end of the line.

Star Wars as a whole is pretty good, but as Kairi said, ALL of LOTR is great, so vote for LOTR. :x

Well, LOTR had 3 movies less than SW. So you could say that 3 movies out of the SW trilogy were just as good as LOTR. \:D/

Yes, but sometimes the writing was cringeworthy. As were the Ewoks. (I mean, they are cute, but still...I heard it might have been Wookies instead.) Jabba is cringeworthy too.

I've finally decided to go with The Lord of the Rings. Star Wars isn't a favorite (I like the prequels better anyway... :anxious:), and I really debated IAWL. It is such an awesome Christmas classic, but I honestly liked LOTR better. All three are good movies/series. :D

The LOTR stories are not even original stories, they are based on books. Star Wars pwns too, but I voted for It's a Wonderful Life because it truely is one of the greatest movies of all time.

I am very glad that my years of brainwashing has finally paid off! \:D/ This makes me very happy indeed. If Star Wars wins by one vote, I will take all the credit for this! \:D/ And go watch the original trilogy, young lady! :x
