Super Mario Bros.
With Top here, I'm sure this has been discussed here before, but it's my favorite video game ever. I can't pass 8-4 after all this time, but may be some day.
Has anyone else played this awesome game? How do you own this game? For the NES? Does it have Duck Hunt on the rom as well? For the SNES?

I have the NES version (with Duck Hunt)... I played the SNES version but never owned a physical copy of it.
I am saddened you haven't beaten 8-4 yet... although, all it does is start the game over without goombas being present, so its not that exciting.

I believe lifts are all short and 2-3/7-3, 1-3/5-3, and 2-2/7-3 all become the same as well. The Top Crusader wrote:I am saddened you haven't beaten 8-4 yet... although, all it does is start the game over without goombas being present, so its not that exciting.
For some reason lots of other information is coming to my head:
- Without warps, the farthest I've gotten to is to 6-1. I've passed all worlds (except 8-4) by warping, but by the time I get to world six, I've run out lives.
- I hate world 7.
- I've done the lives trick at the end of 3-3.
- I've done the pipe trick in 4-1.
- I once got stuck on a lift in 3-1 and couldn't move.
I've also played the Super Mario Flash that's in the arcade before, and it isn't very good.

Yeah, you are right about all that... but, still, there isn't even a real ending unless its the SNES version.
And yes, the flash one is a DISGRACE! But I kind of like it anyway... >_>

Anyway, I used both warps to get the world 8-1, then died at world 8-2, then used that cheat to start the game from world 8-1, then I went through 8-1, 8-2, 8-3, and 8-4. So technically I didn't beat it in one game, but close enough.

Okay, this is not cool...
After eleven months of trying to beat this game, I just beat it again! I din't even die with all of the black beetle goomba things!
