Darien's Rise: Album or Radio/Online
I know it was discussed a lot, as an idea, back when they first said they were going to start releasing the albums before seasons aired on the radio/online, but as Darien's Rise get's closer and closer, it's less importantly an idea and more importantly a choice.
So... putting aside all opinions on the marketing tactic and how it will effect the series, how have you chosen to listen to Darien's Rise: buying the album, which is available for shipping Sept. 20th, and listening straight through or waiting for each episode to air on the radio/online in order to discuss and drive yourself crazy all week? And, if your choosing the latter option, do you think you will have the will power?

I will definitely be listening on the radio.I've done that for a long time and I'm not about to stop.If I win the album from the Passaes Scavenger Hunt,I'll have to give it to my parents to keep me from listening lol.
I think I'll wait until I get the album, then listen to the episodes at the same time they're posted online, catching up if I'm late to the show. But, hoo boy, that's gonna be an exercise in patience.

Well, if I were younger I'm sure I would have cared and actually listening week by week. Yet, I think I'll just listen the whole way through in one sitting. I pre-ordered it, so I may as well.

I will try and listen on the radio or online and I am buying the album, which I want so bad I can taste it. I will probably listen via my local Christian station on Sunday afternoons.

I'm not sure how soon I'll get the album, but either way my plan is for my listening to coincide with the air date of each episode.

I'm planning on ordering the album as soon as it becomes available, and then listening to each episode as it airs on the radio.
However, I am curious to see if there will be any differences between the radio and album versions.

Probably on the radio/online (most likely online), as it's completely up in the air as to when I'll actually get the album.
Either that or I'll just get the album via ILL, then buy it when I'm able.

Eh, most likely I'll want to hear it in one sitting if I get the album anytime soon. If I don't, then I may listen weekly to join in the discussion here. The story isn't going to be a cliffhanger for me so it won't be like the torture I endured when DBD was airing.

^Agreed about the cliffhanger part. Since I already know the story, it's not going to be extremely suspenseful for me to want to hear them all at once.
I'll be listening to the weekly radio broadcasts, as is usual for me.

And honestly, that's all that really matters.
I will be listening online--in other words, the old-fashioned way.

I'll be listening to it online, probably late tonight! It's not as suspenseful if you listen to it all at once.

I don't buy things, so yay radio or internet for me!
I don't really see how this is a good marketing decision... Left Behind did this and it tanked.

Well, so far, only 19% are falling for FOTF's evil trick.

Haha, as if that's a fair comparison. Left Behind doesn't even come close to Odyssey. The Top Crusader wrote:I don't really see how this is a good marketing decision... Left Behind did this and it tanked.
