Fellow denizens of the Town of Odyssey, for the past THREE years we have heard nothing from our fellow patron and my good friend, John Whittaker. We had all assumed he had just dropped off the face of the map...some believe he was kidnapped by Regis Blackgaard during his invasion three years ago, but I know that Mr. Whittaker is smarter than that.
I had all but given up hope on ever hearing from him again when today I received an anonymous email with an MP3 file attached to it.
Once I had properly scanned it for viruses I listened...and well...people of Odyssey, I think this update is going to mean trouble.
Whit seems to be the technological whiz around here. Maybe the ToO can lose some precious information in archives if its updated? Or something like that...
Anyway, I don't know if its forced. Just choppy... or whoever is posing as whit just simply can not get the awesomness of his voice down.
hm, Whit fears the update will cause trouble? Do you think Blackgaard could somehow be forcing him to say this? Or for that matter Blackgaard pasted together clips of Whit talking so it would sound like Whit is against the update? Or perhaps, Whit just wants to keep his job.
Yeah, it's kinda strange. I don't know if he really means it and if there's a reasonable explanation why he doesn't want us to upgrade. But whatever the circumstance, darcie will be happy that she may not have to do all the work of updating. Oh... oh, oh! Maybe darcie forced Whit to say that! Wow, I'm a great detective.
Seriously though, this is intriguing so far...but we really have no direction to look for clues yet...and I don't plan on halting the upgrade just because Whit tells us too.
