skateboarding

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

skateboarding

I was just wondering if anyone else here skateboards? If so could you answer my questions-
1. how much time do you spend skating?

2. who's your favorite skater?

3. What tricks can you do?

4. What style of skating do you do?

I'm an on and off skater. I'll spend a week or two skating and then stop for another week or two and get back to it and so on. My two favorite skaters are Bob Burnquist and Daewon Song. I'm just a plain old street skater. I want to do more vert, but my skatepark doesn't really have a lot of ramps and stuff. And I'm not sure what tricks I can do. Here's the ones I vcan remember at the moment.

1. ollie (of course everyone probably can do that)

2. tail stop to casper

3. rail to casper

4. 180 shove-it

5. 180 shove-it fakie

6. pogo

and the ones I can almost do are-

1. impossible

2. heel flip

3. 50-50 saran wrap

I used to love Mullen a lot also. He's probably the best freestyle skater ever. Now I like Daewon Song though.

My brother skated a lot in junior high and high school. He was a decent street skater too. Now he works for Skate One (Bones, Powell-Peralta), sending decks and other gear all around the world. \:D/

Well, considering that Powell's one of the old school companies from the '70s, yeah they're pretty good. ;) They make the decks at their factory in Santa Barbara.
