The Best Possible AIO Collection

I've listened to Adventures in Odyssey for a huge chunk of my life.

As I got older I found that I indentified with the episodes that focused on the kids less and less, and began to see how much more interesting the serious episodes really were.

But there's this great "Whit's Past" series that can be pieced together from all the years of the show that I think really makes up a truly great miniseries.

1. Blackbeard's Treasure (Episode 297)
Jack and Whit search for a treasure as kids.

2. The Triangle (Episodes 464 & 465)
The story of a love triagle between Jack, Whit, and Jenny.

3. Rescue from Manatugo Point (Episode 93)
A war story of Whit in the Navy.

4. Operation Dig-Out (Episode 94)
Another war story of Whit in the Navy.

5. Recollections (Episode 19)
The death of Jenny, to the argument between Whit and Tom, this opt-overlooked episode is one of the best.

6. Clara (Episode 365)
Soon after the death of Jenny, Whit wants to adopt a child, which in the end results in Jack and him having a falling out.

7. A Member of the Family (FP Episodes 11 & 12)
Important information about Whit's family and other early conflicts.

Pretty much every episode of Whit's past are my very favorites, and perhaps the best AIO episodes made. Who agrees with me about this?

I agree 100%. I for one absolutely love A Member of the Family. The Triangle and Clara are also ones that I absolutely love. Recollections is one of my favorites as well, it was one of the first AIO episodes I heard. Operation Dig Out and Rescue From Monatugo Point are on my favorites list as well. As for sagas, Novacom is my favorite. The episodes about Whit would be a very close second.

I love Novacom. It was so ingaging. Blackgaard was too...I guess... but not the same!

I had never really thought about it before, but Whit's past is the focus of a bunch of good episodes. I really like The Triangle, though there are others that are good as well. Since they're spread out so much, I guess I never considered them as a whole, like I do something like the Blakcgaard saga or the Novacom saga.

I voted for the Blackgaard saga because it spans so much time and connects to so many great episodes. References in non-Blackgaard eps help set up its various pieces, and Dr. Blackgaard was a great villain for Odyssey. It's just hard to compete with it!

Wait! Strike that, reverse it... good. On we go.

Now that I think about it, the history of Whit is tied to some awfully good episodes. I should compile a playlist.

I voted for Blackgaard for basically the same reasons as Catspaw. It was just so well written, with a beautiful story. I still find it amazing that Whit wasn't actually in it (answering machines and IS excepted), but was still very much a part of it. This is something that didn't happen in the absence of Eugene, which irked me. Hmm. I started rambling. Yeah, Blackgaard rocks.

Do you mean by that, the final Blackgaard series, or the entire thing?
Because we've got:

-Series I-

A Bite of Applesauce (Episode 73)
Eugene's Dilemma (Episode 76)
The Nemesis (Episodes 77 & 78)
The Battle (Episodes 83 & 84)

-Inbetween-

One Bad Apple (Episode 128)
Waylaid in the Windy City (Episodes 155 & 156)
A Name, Not a Number (Episodes 290 & 291)

-Series II-

Small Fires, Little Pools (Episode 324)
Angels Unaware (Episode 325)
Gathering Thunder (Episode 326)
Moving Targets (Episode 327)
Hard Losses (Episode 328)
The Return (Episode 329)
The Time Has Come (Episode 330)
Checkmate (Episode 331)
Another Chance (Episode 332)
The Last Resort (Episode 333)
The Final Conflict (Episode 334)

Personally, I like the whole thing.

I voted for Whit's past, but I really like both the Blackgaard saga and Novacom too.

There's far more in the "In Between" series than what you mentioned. "The Good, the Bad, and the Butch", "A Code of Honour", "The Underground Railroad", "Double Trouble", and "The Homecoming" also fall under the interlude category, and those are only a few.

I voted for the Blackgaard saga. After all, it seems far more realistic than a company bent on mind control.

I voted for Whit's past. \:D/ I've really enjoyed all those episodes, and I love how we learn a lot more about Whit's character through stories of his past. Besides, episodes like The Triangle are my favorite!

Well, while we're at it, you could also add Connie Goes to Camp to "Series I". It didn't have to do with Blackgaard but it did play a part in the whole Applesause Program ordeal.

I'm not sure which one I voted for...I may have voted Novacom because I did like that it was long and somewhat complicated but I think that my favorite was probably the Blackgaard Saga if you are including Applesause and Darkness Before Dawn...it's just classic...what else can I say?

The Blackgaard saga is my favorite saga, but Novacom is my second favorite saga. By the way the Blackgaard Chronicles books are good too, because they add additional scenes that don't appear in the Blackgaard saga.
