Ok guys whether you know it or not every family has a tidbit of information that could make them famous. You may not know about it but your grandparents or parents have done something fairly interesting that they wouldn't necessarily tell you. Your mission is to find an interesting story about your family and post it here. We ask that you be completely honest because my team will determine who's the most interesting and you shall get a prize.

Here is an example of my family generation thing.

My Grandmother use to sing in clubs and was pretty good at it. She was a part of a musical group and she was once a backstage singer for Pattie LaBelle if that's how you spell it... This is the honest truth. She ended this career when she became a Christian.

Well, way back in the old days, my family was part of the French monarchy; then they moved to Quebec and had a town named after them, which still stands TO THIS DAY. \:D/

I don't think this thread is being taken seriously.

Unless you are telling the truth and not joking around.

My great-great-grandmother was a sharp shooter for a circus. Nobody in my family knew this about her until she showed my relatives. As a young boy, my grandfather grew up on a farm. Some birds were getting into the garden so his father told him to take a gun and shoot them. His grandmother was living with them at the time and watched my grandpa miss bird after bird. Pretty soon, she told him she would show him how it was done. My grandfather handed her the gun, but didn't think she even knew how to shoot it. To make the long story short, she shot 10 birds in 10 shots straight. When my grandfather asked her about it, she said nothing, but when she died he found out through records that she'd been a circus sharp shooter.
