Laptop innovation?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Laptop innovation?

Post by KODY 105 »

Say, I just now had this idea: a laptop that has a screen separable from the rest of the computer. Would that be practical and a good laptop feature? It could be placed up to 10 or 20 feet away from the base for any reason, such as showing someone a presentation.

That's what external displays (monitors/projectors/tvs) are for. ;)

It's not bad looking...but I'm not sure that I'd pay for that as a feature.

It's all right but I prefer laptops with the screen attached.

Yeah, if you wanted that just get like an ASUS eeebox and a small portable LCD. (Great idea for a PC car mount if you're interested in auto tech by the way.)

Amen to that! My ASUS is handy when it comes to showing things to people, 'cause I can move it around easily. \:D/

I think it's kind of neat. Not exactly sure what the practical purposes of it would be, though. :-k
