I have a $15 Itunes Gift Card...

Post by LizzieG »

...and, being fairly musically illiterate (especially with regards to secular bands of all eras), I am eager for suggestions of songs. I'm pretty much open to anything... and even though I am most familiar with CCM, feel free to make suggestions in that genre too.

Depends on what you all ready have...

Anything Brandon Heathish or Jeremy Campish.

Anything at all, realy...

Or... Call My Name - Third Day

And... Welll, do you mind Taylor Swift? Love Story is REALLY good....
And...

Oh, Broken by Lifehouse. That is a REALLY good song...

Other than that... it is hard to think of what you really want or alll ready have... sorry.

I like most genres except rap, and... well most of what I have is Christian (Superchick, Relient K, etc.), and soundtracks, and a few bands like Yellowcard and All-American Rejects.

Yeah. I'm on the look-out for new amazing music, but... I don't really know where to start. Hence the broadness of my call for help. ;)

Fleet Foxes. Best up and coming band...I'm not even kidding. Listen to the 30-second clips and see if you can tell me I'm wrong.

How about Leeland? They're the bestest band there is. Tenth Avenue North is another good one, too... they're both calmer music, Leeland has a couple of rock-ish songs. And some bouncy ones for both of them...

Hmm... it really depends. Are you looking for suggestions of Christian music, or songs of the secular genre?

Either. Oldies, Christian, secular, pop, rock, instrumental...

And I like Lifehouse. I think I like Fleet Foxes. And "Homemade Valentine" is definitely catchy... which is good. Keep the suggestions coming! :D

EDIT: Oh, and I should mention that my sister and I are sharing this gift card. So you have to convince her too. :D

Look for anything by Kari Jobe. Especially Revelation Song It's beautiful. If you like worship, she's an "unknown" artist that's absolutely amazing.

Everything by Lifehouse

Anything Shane and Shane

Casting Crowns

Steven Curtis Chapman

Chris Rice

Chris Tomlin

Bebo Norman

Third Day

Yes, Children 18:3 is a great new band. I also suggest Project 86's album Rival Factions, or their new EP entitled This Time of Year.

So. I still haven't used my gift card yet. :anxious:

Right before I left home, however, I discovered that my sister and I had actually gotten separate ones! So I don't have to share! O:)

I quite like Lifehouse, (some of) ek's suggestions, and Fleet Foxes.

Last call for suggestions! I'll be putting my gift card to good use in the next few days.
