Really.

Also, I think that the fact that it appears as though she showed no more skin in those pictures than she does in her usual outfits speaks something about the immodesty of her attire.

So anyway, she needs better jokes.

And acting lessons. $\:D/$

It was alot more than that if anybody has seen her Vanity Fair photos. All in all I have seen pictures of her in inmodest positions and at such a young age it is totally inappropriate to do stuff like that. I could post them but again I could get in trouble because it is not "g rated"

And alot of Disney tv shows are just bad like that with there bad humor and stuff. It's far more worse than the Disney I use to watch.

It's all good...we all forget stuff now and then! I did find the post very interesting - thanks for sharing that.

There was definitely some truth in the way that we set up role models and then roll our eyes when they inevitably fall and then set ourselves up as so morally superior that we're sure that we're invincible to any temptations. Praying is indeed wise advice!

I definately do not think that I am certainly fallible. However just look at the episode when Jimmy Barclay met his role model.

The Basketball lightning guy. He fell BIG time. It's just that role models and the rich and famous always seem to plummet from there fame or seem to be morally bankrupt.

No I was making a point. We weren't talking about when she was showing her back we were talking about a totally different situation. I don't wear bikinis. Yet anyways....

He was saying she took a photo for Vainty Fair, in which she shows her back and JED commented by saying it was almost like porn. And I was pointing out that a *warm winter parka* shows even less than that, and I believe it isn't wrong and I wear them. And I am NOT a porn person.

And she was. ...Not everyone liked her though. Actually, there were those who hated her without reason. There was pressure from her peers to mess up. They just wanted her to mess up. Even her Christian brothers and sisters were waiting for her to mess up. ...And she did.

At that, we shook our heads and said, well, there goes another one. But that's NOT what God said. All this time, He's still there. He's still whispering gently, "Don't give up. Just hold on to Me. I know there's pressure, I know there's temptations, but just hold onto Me. Don't give up on Me, I'm not giving up on you. I'm putting you here for a reason - don't take your eyes off Me. I'm your Strength. I love you, and I want to love others through you. Be a light for Me. Look to Me. Just hold on to Me. I'm holding on to you."

But this world is trying so hard to drown out that whisper. And her brothers and sisters are still turning away from her. She needs us the most right now. God doesn't give up on people. How are we going to show God's love to those who don't know Him if we can't show His love to those who do? Jesus said "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

It's time we realized that loving people includes everyone. Even those that you would have never even considered loving or praying for. This little girl is struggling, and if her brothers and sisters don't step up and be the encouragement and the support and the love that she needs, she could fall. There are so many temptations. It's time we stopped just letting people fall into them. I'm praying for her, and I believe in the power of prayer. We can do more than we think. God's bigger. If you would like to join me in prayer for her, if you would step up and be the encouragement and the family she needs...then I guess you need to know her name. It's Miley.

My philosophy is if you can't take the pressure of being a role model, just don't become one.

I find it somewhat hard to believe that she made a small error in judgement and walked over to the magazine place and just succumbed to the temptation to pose for those pictures.

More likely story: her agent thought it would be good publicity. Unfortunately, it was. She got all over the news and many people just said, "Well, the pictures weren't that bad," or, "She's human."

I've got news for those people: she isn't human.

As well, the Bible says we will know Christians by their fruits. Thus far I have seen no fruits from Miley Cyrus other than her telling everyone she is a Christian, which many people do for publicity (I'm not saying that is her case, naturally).

well, i used to like that show and actress until she started wearing immodset things. i understand shes only human,but i always get real sad when i think about it now

Wow the whole "immodest thing" I highly doubt that so many people here are so self-righteous that they decided that they would stop watching a show just because they believe that the character wears "immodest things"
