Tournaments

ever been in one?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Tournaments

Post by J-man »

Has anyone ever been in a tournament of any kind? Last saturday while my family was youth camping and we had a volleyball tournement. it was awesome. There was 4 on a team and all 7 teams were equally matched. my team came in third. One of the youth sponsers was on my team and he was on the groud a lot because he dived for the ball so much.

Yup many many times. I was on our school's chess team for three years (?) or was it two? Anyway I even qualified for state, but my rank wasn't very great.

I'm not that great, and I don't remember how to do notation. Basically I just played for fun...and because my best friend played too. I never really learned a bunch of strategy...though I do know some.
