Ok, my computer was acting stupid so I have a lot to reply too (and I'm out of breath, as I gave up on my computer and just jogged to a computer lab). Since I'm too lazy to quote everything I'll just list you all off.
First, the only person I'm consistently agreeing with--and by consistently I mean pretty much 100% of the time--in this thread is Ryan. That may just be a first
JED. You mentioned the antichrist up there. This may shock you, seeing how highly you think of Obama, but not everyone who wanted him to lose thinks he's the anti-christ. To make a comment like you did displays a good deal of ignorance.
Alei and AE (good to see you back
). I thought I'd address your posts together as I have thoughts that apply to both equally.
First, yes, this is a wicked nation. But then, so is every other nation on earth (gasp!). It's called sin, folks, and we're all plauged with it.
And while that may make me sound like I agree with AE, I don't completely as I don't have as bleak an outlook as he does (plus I suspect we hold differing end time views). Yes, I'm not happy that Obama won, but I'm not going to get all depressed. As I view life in the shade of the cross, one, I don't believe we'll be "punished" for electing who we have. I'm not sure he's any more spiritually sound than Bush is. Plus, it's not the end of the world
Regis. Obama has never said anything about wiping Israel off the face of the map. That's absurd, and I'm kinda disturbed you believed the person who told you that.
So, for now, that's my take. To close, I'd like to say Ryan hit the nail on the head: this nation is not defined on one individual. That's the beauty of this thing called representative democracy. Let's hope and pray the next four years go well. And remember, God is in control, so none of you out there who are upset about Obama's win have any excuse for getting depressed.
edit--
Ok, I lied, I need to qoute someone:

Um, say what?
