Gmail is a webmail service provided by Google. It is still considered "beta," which means that it is still "in production" and testing.

Do any of you use Gmail frequently? How many Gmail accounts do you have?

I'll start. I have four I use regularly. I have a fifth one, but the password is in limbo to my knowledge... If you do not have a Gmail account, but would like an invitation, I can send you one. PM me your email address, and I will fire off one of my 196 invitations left.

What on earth is the point of having multiple e-mail addresses other than it makes for a pain to check? Some people have a reason to have 2, but 4?!?!

Uhhh...Gmail isn't beta anymore, and anybody can sign up -without an invite.

I beg your pardon, ma'am, but the Google logo in Gmail still shows the word beta to me.

well, what I meant was, it wasn't in the 'testing stage'. ie..seeing if people would use it.

But, still- anybody can get an account without an invite.

I have one.. really two, but I don't use my second one, so I voted 1. I use it EVERYDAY, all the time. Along with Hotmail, it is my only e-mail source, and I use it for almost everything. Myspace, facebook, Electric Palace, Photobucket, youtube, just everything. Hotmail just serves the purpose for KLOVE and here, oh, and fanfiction.

I LOVE gmail. I got it in 9th grade, over 2 years ago, and haven't let go of it. I chat with everyone, I can e-mail a lot of people, I have it for storing things, and I have stories on google docs and it is a really good way to transport things from one computer to another, especially when it is hard to have a USB device and sometimes some comps are hard to find the ports for such things... so, an easy way to get things around by internet to other computers!

I have one for my business with a lack of customers. I've only gotten around 5 or 6 messages in that one. Although I do use my Google Pages site to upload random clips of stuff.

I don't need free email addresses because I use ones associated with domains I own. Let's see... opening Mail says I currently have 9 email addresses. Some are non-active... like a spam collector one. I only really receive valid emails at 5 of those.

I've thought of using a free one or the one with my isp, but meh.

I just have one Gmail account because I barely get spam, let alone actual e-mails. $\:D/$

And I always wondered why in the world there were invites. $\:D/$

This is going to make me sound old, but email has always annoyed me

That being said, gmail is a genious development and, after I graduate, it will be the only email service I use. There's not a single thing I don't like about it and the search function is very handy.

I currently have two gmail accounts, but one doesn't count as an email. One is my personal email, and the other is an account that me and a group of friends use to keep in touch. It's like our own personal forum ^_^ The only other email I have is my school email, and in a few months that account will be but a memory.
