Firefox/IE/Opera/Netscape/Avant

Which do you use?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Firefox/IE/Opera/Netscape/Avant

Post by Jeffro »

There are several internet browsers out there, So I thought I would ask which you use? Personally, I use only firefox and avant(sometimes) and IE for the things that don't show up correctly in those two. I have netscape 8.0 installed, but it is a pain to load up, it takes virturally a minute. Probaly mostly everyone uses IE, but if you can, you should try firefox. So, what do you use?

Firefox.

There is another thread on this somewhere, but I'm too lazy to go find the link.

I prefer and mostly use IE, but Firefox isn't that bad either.

Peace Out

Whatever the actual MSN screen is called. I use that one. Oh wait I think it is MSN Explorer, but I also use IE if it can't be avoided.

I have Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox installed on my computer. I usually use IE, but every once in a while I'll use Firefox. I prefer IE, however.

The main reasons that I like firefox are the extensions (For those who don't know, ask) and the security.

I use firefox the most, but for things that don't work in it, I use IE. (I try not to visit sites that don't work in it, just because I hate using IE so much. ](*,))

After we reformatted my computer, the tech. guy at my school suggested that I use firefox, since you don't get as many bugs and stuff from it. :)

There are a number of reasons why I don't like it.

1: It's made by M$
2: It has more known security holes than Firefox
3: It's not as customizable

What's great about Firefox
1: When a security flaw is discovered, updates are released sooner than with IE
2: By using Firefox, one can show their support for the open source community.
3: Firefox has tabbed browsing built in, not via plugin

Those are a few of my thoughts on it.
