SPORE

Post by Movieman »

I'm curious, has anyone purchased the incredibly awesome (and new) PC game "Spore"? I'd like to see if there are any toOers out there to play against. :D

If it's the one I'm thinking of, no. But a friend of mine has and has been enjoying it.

It's looks rather fascinating... and I would purchase it if I had time to play. :(

By the way, you can also get it for the Mac, too. :noway:

My brother bought the game (using my credit card online ;)) and since he was talking about it for months and months ahead of time, I know enough to think that it sounds pretty cool! \:D/ I'll never play it myself, I'm sure, but I'll peek over my brother's shoulder when I have a chance to see if it's as cool as it sounds!

I'm just the oldest and therefore the coolest, but I am not an only child! I'm sure I've mentioned that before - maybe it just wasn't in posts that you read. :-k

I knew you had a brother. \:D/

A friend's facebook status is "Seth _____ has played Spore for about 5-6 hours straight lol."

Sooo...I'm guessing he liked it. :P

But of course, there are multiple reasons why Catspaw is cool, not just because she is the oldest. :D

I downloaded the free creature creator. It's a lot of fun.
Who do I belong To? Not Earth, Not world, Not Evil, Not mortals, Not wretches, Not horrors

Who do I belong to? Unchanging. Unbreaking. Unfailing. Creator. Immortal. Eternal

Surrender to the sound.

wasn't there some form of anti-copyright-violation software that attached itself to one's computer after installing the game?
because if this is that game, eep.

It's called Digital Rights Management. My dad was trying to explain it to me. It's worse than what you think. If I understood my dad correctly, the DRM attaches itself indelibly! One would have to take pains on the order of $1,000 or more to remove it with special processes only a few labs in the country have the money for.

Yeah, I've heard it has some pretty nasty DRM. That reason alone is making me stay away from it. >_>

I express similar sentiments to those posted by the user above me. Plus it costs a lot of money, and my computer would barely handle it. But it sounds like a game to play at someone else's house!

Maybe you should tell him... but if he has already installed it, it's too late!
