Apparently, people've forgotten that you're not required to watch or listen to Hannah Montana if you don't want to... :-s

I don't go around saying I hate little kids/teenagers. :noway:

I like some of her songs, I think she's fairly funny on her show. I don't look up to her as a role model and I wouldn't want other people to look up to ANYONE on TV as a role model actually. :shame:

People saying it's "obvious" she's concieted and all these other personality judgement calls? Give me a break. No one here knows anything about her other than you see on her FICTIONAL SHOW or in the media. :-s

But hey, the media never represents anyone poorly or falsely. :-

Yes, it's coming from a guy and not to mention 21 year old. Why? Because HM/MC is a real kid in real life who's never done anything to hurt anyone, and yet people on here are using the annonymity of the internet to say some pretty hateful things that I'd hope they'd never tell anyone to their face. So, yeah, I don't think it's right to say that stuff about someone who's probably younger than the average user of this message board.

Haha, and no, that's not Miley in my sig. That's Lacey Mosley of the band Flyleaf:

I've never actually heard/seen any Hannah Montana music or shows (Honestly, I prefer much heavier stuff), so JSYK I'm completely nuetral on the quality of her art.

Okay, here's what I really think.

Hannah Montana (the show) is unfunny and has atrocious acting. But I would say it's better than kids watching... Rambo or something.

I do not claim to be a movie critic, but I do not like her music.

She claims to be a Christian and doesn't swear or stuff like that. But it is kinda weird she's dating an underwear model and has posed suggestively for Vanity Fair.

And that's about it. I don't "hate" her. I dislike her show, her music, her attire, her cheap toys, her lame wig... but I have no idea about the actual person. Thus, I don't listen to her music, watch her show, wear her attire (thankfully), or buy her cheap toys.

Admittedly, I no pretty much next to nothing about HM/MC.
But I do know this. We shouldn't hate her or anything. I kind of feel sorry for her. I don't know if she was really raised in the Word, she might have been around people like Britney Spears etc.
We should pray for her, pray that she doesn't fall or become like Britney Spears or one of those other people. Pray that people who are strong Christians come her way to help her. Pray that she always devotes her life to Christ.
Saying cruel things about her - or about anyone, to be honest - isn't exactly a Christian attitude. besides, we Christians need to remember that we aren't perfect. Christians have a habit of forgetting that and when they do they look down upon non-Christians. We need to remember that the only reason we're saved is through Jesus and that He loves people like HM/MC as much as He loves us.
