Moved from HH, since this isn't a frivolous post. ;)

I personally prefer Macs, but Linux is pretty spiffeh. Mainly... anything except Vista.

I don't really want to get into a big debate, but how many of you who seem to hate Vista have actually used it? :-k

I've used windows all my life and like it, although I'm sorta getting into Linux too. (lol, sorta.. *cough*)

Like J-man, I've used Windows all my life and are getting into Linux.

But, of course he's not my double account! *cough* :anxious:

Ever since I found out that computers existed, there was always something a bit wrong with Windows... and then I found out that I didn't *have* to put up with those few things I couldn't stand.

And now I'm a full fledged Linux user. \:D/

But... I don't think that I would be able to survive without the one Windows computer in the office. 'Tis necessary. Linux still has too many quirks to make it as liable as I need. :anxious:

Anyway, my favorite computer is, obviously, mine. It has Ubuntu (which I pronounce wrong) on it, and runs really smoothly. I *pancreas* my computer. \:D/

Anti = against. Study = study. Anti Study = Against Study.

I repeat my previous question.

Perhaps the young delinquent is referring to the computer's ability to change grades...something about which I discovered far too much. :(

My favorite computer is my black MacBook. (or the OSx86 project I was working on...)

Birdie and Lucy: You may be my 7th and 8th wife, for using linux \:D/.

SivartM and J-man: Continue using linux, it's too awesome for you \:D/.

And. Of course, my favorite OS is linux. My favorite computer is my laptop which runs arch linux, religiously.

I have another desktop with Arch on it which I use in my spare time.

My laptop specs are:

1.60GHZ Dual core AMD Turion 64 bit x2 processor.

2GBS of RAM.

128MB ATI Radeon Xpress 1150M (200M) Graphics card.

and to top it off, a DL +RW dvd drive, a 15.4 widescreen, and a lovely 160GB HD.

Under $700 ;).

How is Osx86 going Samwise? I wanted to go for it on my laptop, because it has an SS3 chipset, but I didn't have the badnwidth for like a 7gb Leopard DVD. And I don't have any tiger CD's laying around :(.

You do not need a bandwith for 7gb Leopard; just purchase a copy from your local store. It isn't all that expensive neither.
The OSx 86 is working quite well. I actually have EFI emulation working so everything runs just like on a Mac. I used Q6600 Quad Core, 4GB-800 RAM, along with some old dvd and hard drive. As for WiFI I'm using a USB WiFI stick. I tested Adobe CS3 on it, and it functions perfectly. For legal reasons, I am not using the computer other than for experimental purposes. I also bought a copy of OS X to go with it.

There isn't an apple store to be found in Arkansas ;).

I would love to test it, but I don't have the money for a CD.
