Father's Day

Remember it everybody!

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Father's Day

Post by Ruthie »

Hey Everybody!

Remember that today is Father's Day, be sure to tell your dad how special he is! Just a hug and "I love you Dad" is one of the greatest gifts a dad could ever receive.

Also, we should remember our heavenly Father today- and thank him for everything that we have.

Why don't we all try to spend as much time with our dad's as possible today? (i..e...take some of the time you'd normally spend on here, and spend it with dad!) If you can't physically be with your dad, give him a call, an email...or just keep him in your thoughts.

I hope everybody has a marvelous Father's Day!

I've been with my dad for several hours... unfortunately, those several hours have consisted of gardening. I really don't think he gets the whole "holiday" thing. :noway: He'd probably do the same on his birthday if he wasn't going to be on vacation... :-s

Oh, well! It's Father's Day! At least we get ice cream for lunch. \:D/

I forgot!!! My dad hasn't even said anything about it today!

I don't usually do anything anyway.

Mother's day is another story....

Does anybody else remember one but not the other?

Nothing. My father has been dead since 1989. Same with Mother's Day since my mother died in 1998.

I'm not going to say how old I am. Sorry.

I remembered to buy a card a few days ago and my dad got a few presents, between my siblings and I. Mother's Day is a bigger deal to a lot of people, I think, but dads need to hear the good things they're doing too! :D

Every Father's and Mother's day each of the kids of church say why they love there Father's or Mother's day. And for Fathers day we make there favorite foods and have a potluck. (like we do every week) And so far I've never ever forgotten Father's or Mother's day.

My dad plants around 200 trees on his birthday. He's really into plants. :anxious:

My dad and I have been working on computer stuff today. He's never home, so it's been fun spending time with him. \:D/

We gave him some chocolate in a mug that said "great dad" in two languages, and he went on and on about marketing. He's hysterical.

But... I already have one. And I wouldn't let my dad use it anyway. ;)
