Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe!!

Post by The Top Crusader »

Yay! The joyous blood of Mortal Kombat and the... running around in tights and capes of the DC Universe shall soon be united! \:D/

So anyway, for those that don't know, DC Comics is the rival to Marvel comics, and they publish Superman and Batman and Justice League and... the Flash, and stuff. ;) Mortal Kombat should be known by all, but anyway it was some game series started in the early 1990's that got in trouble for having insane and impossibe amounts of blood. \:D/

I would love to see a fight between Shockwave (a bad guy from "Spiderman" series) and Raiden. Haha that would be SWEET!

I remember Shocker and Electro... but it wouldn't surprise me if they had a third lightning-ish guy. ;)

But yeah, a MARVEL vs MK would be more exciting, but hey I'll take what I can get for now. ;)

It's an interesting-sounding concept. I heard it was rated T, so I take it that the blood and violence level will definitely drop (since they don't want, say, Batman's spine ripped out of his body and whatnot). I think I heard that they're taking out the fatalities, as well? Something like that. I don't really care, since I never desired to play Mortal Kombat in my life. I may or may not pick this up, depending on reviews and whether they tone down the blood and gore a wee bit.

I'm still waiting for my Street Fighter VS. Dragonball game, personally. xD

I hope not. Taking the fatalities out of Mortal Kombat would be like taking the "adventures" out of AIO.

They are taking out fatalities but having "Finishing moves".

Ahh, I see. Well, as long as they can satisfy the fan's desire to have such things, it shouldn't be too big of a problem with the fans, right?

Then again, I can see the other side's point. I don't know why they couldn't just keep the title of "Fatality" and just take the violent parts down a notch (since the word itself isn't M-rated, obviously).

Man, now I'm actually going to have to check the game out at least once just to understand what people are talking about. x_x

Not that I'm a big fan of blood and gore, but "finishing moves" sounds more like it will turn out to be "poor PC remake of a staple move of the Mortal Kombat series".

I'm sure the $$$ that will generate from teaming with DC will make up for it, as far as the game producers are concerned, since DC would refuse if the game was overly violent.
