What do you think is the best speech, quote or poem in all of ODYSEEY history.
I have two faverites.
My first is Jon ADams in the day independnce came his final speech.
I just loved it.
My other choice really moved me Twolarges poem in best laid plans.
The ending is my faverie part.
"If you want to stand up, you gotta learn how to kneeel. I surrender my weapons are down at my feet cause well never have freedom when theres blood on the street".
Theose are my faverite ones what are yours.

One of my favorite quotes is Tom in "The Mortal Coil, at the end of part one, where he says, Death is the passage way to heaven, it is not a door that we should pass through on our own, but we need to wait until the master calls us. There is more but it is just a great scene with Tom speaking to Whit at his hospital bed.
Oh I love that one too!!!!! I laughed my head off!thelordismyshepherd wrote:Well, everybody's doing non-funny quotes and poems...I like funny best...
Does this count as a poem?
Mega, mega, mega world!
Rides the rides and then you'll hurl!
Also in "The Curse" that whole seen when the indian comes in and trows dirt around and stuff! I loved that whole part.
When I was little I used to rewind it over and over so I could hear and laugh at it again.

I'm not sure that this counts as a speech, but I love when Wooton explains his dream in Breaking Point. Basiclly, he's watching the butter turtles at the zoo and the "King butter turtle" (that's where my username came from) gets up on this big rock like he's about to fly and all the kids are up against the window holding their breath when Wooton breaks through the glass with a fire extinguisher.

my fav Quote is Bart: (over the loudspeaker at the Electric Palace) "Shoppers, don't forget our special on blank videotapes. Five dollars each or three for twenty! Bargains every day here at the Electric Palace". And "The tire isn't completely flat, only the bottom"

my fav poem is by Too Large: I was trapped by the invisible walls of my fate. Fooled into thinking that I could not escape. Chained up in a ghetto where my father died. Tricked into thinking I could never go outside. Surrounded by my friends who knew nothing but war. Shackled to everything that had gone on before. I would forever be stuck in this dead-end life of mine, my heart turned back by a city limit sign. And yet . . . And yet I now see a way out of my concrete jail. A way to soften a heart that's grown stale. I understand now what it takes to get real. If you want to stand up you have to learn how to kneel. I surrender. My weapons are down at my feet. 'Cause we'll never have freedom with blood on the streets.

One very funny part of The Coolest Dog:
Wooton: Is your cello an extention of your hand?
Trent: What?
Wooton: Well do you think of it like an appendix or your nose or something?
Trent: Uh, no.
Wooton: Oh, too bad, that's what Marvin and I do. You know you might want to think about taking your cello everywhere you go.
Trent: What?
Wooton: Yeah, and then you could like, sleep with it under your pillow.
Trent: Oof! Neck cramps!
Wooton: Well yeah, they wrote the start of it's painful.
