epic, look at the length of the photoshopped runway--not to mention the surrounding terrain.

Nope, it's actually real, not photoshopped or anything. Of course the camera angle is deceptive and does make it look quite a bit shorter since the runway is also quite sloped and a bit of it is hidden behind the cliff, but it is a real airport in the Courchevel area of France.

I agree....

*Never go to that airport... ever*

Where is it, anyway? Alaska, if I wanted to assume, but I really don't want to. I'm going to guess. Alaska.

A lot of snow, and not enough land (*runs in opposite direction from plane*)

Marisol, skid says that it is in France. I hope that answers your question.

Agent Robert Mitchell wrote:I'm sure the runway's gradient helps to considerably slow the incoming planes down.
And probably helps outgoing planes accelerate faster... Thanks for the link, btw!

Looks like fun! I'd love to fly in at that airport as long as the pilot is experienced enough! \:D/ Probably the only way you'd be flying in or out of that airport though is if you have a small, private plane...

*Makes a mental note to ask her sister (who's getting her pilot's license) if she's heard of this airport in any of her classes*

That's smart, drive off the cliff and once you get enough speed, pull up.
Saves money and fuel.
You just won't see any 747's around there.
