If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Yeah though the handful of channels I ever actually used are only available on cable or whatever... :mecry: :boohoo:

Though actually I've found I don't really miss them all that much... though I would like a cable news network again...

I have cable, but only because cable hook-ups are included in my $350/mo rent, so I figure if the hook ups are there and free (technically) to use, might as well. I probably wouldn't pay for cable myself though just because it's too expensive considering there are only six or seven channels I watch (out of the couple hundred or so available) on a regular basis and only two of those are actually cable channels - ie, I could get the other channels with rabbit ears or whatever. Though I do like the free movies available, when I actually have the time to watch a movie AND find one on the list I like. And I like being able to record TV shows that I'd like to watch, but can't due to classes or other stuff, then watch the show when I am able to do so.

Yay! I think something I said inspired this topic! \:D/

Almost everything, save NBC thursday nights, that we watch is on cable. Therefore we have digital cable. 200 channels, or something like that. But yeah, most of them aren't worth watching. ;)

it wasn't that long ago that I didn't even have a TV. Not only did I not have time for it, I had no interest in it. I still could do without the TV, but sometimes it's nice to have stuff to watch. Mostly I don't care for TV because nothing gets done when it's on. I can't / won't get homework done, nothing around the house gets finished, etc. But with radio on I can study and do homework, or do chores around the house without the feeling of wanting to just sit there and veg out.

Heh, I do miss that... we don't have a local CBS and they show most of the games I want to see... nor do we have a local ABC which covers Ohio State football usually... :boohoo:

Plus Spike TV has TNA Wrestling. :(

I have the rabbit ear antennae dealio on my tv, so I can catch the following when I am VERY bored:

King of the Hill.

The Simpsons.

Scrubs.

Two and a half men.

CSI.

And that's it. But I rarely watch even those.

NONE! I haven't watched TV since...well since Thursday up at the college, but before that I hadn't watched it for a couple months at least, and then it was at my grandparent's house.

We get Netflix, so we don't really have a need for cable, or dish or w/e....

Cabel here. But only cuz it was a really good deal with our cable internet. Our internet is $33 if we get cable for $33. Otherwise our internet alone is $56. Go figure. I hardly watch it--but Cliff and I like watching on demand stuff.
