Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!
I wouldn't miss him if he left, but I don't hate him. I guess I feel rather indifferent towards Marvin. There's no complelling storyline that he's involved in - he's a slice-of-life kind of character, which is fine, but he's never really grabbed my interest like some other characters have. With some more time, I might like him better.
Me wrote:One of those average characters like Isaac. Has good and bad attributes. Makes for some interesting slice of life if not overused.
I liked Isaac better. Perhaps that's partially because he was a "classic" character from the past, and he was a lot different than Marvin, so it isn't really fair to compare them, but he seemed more connected somehow. He had friends, he did stuff...my explanation isn't really making sense, even to me, because you could argue that Marvin is conencted and does stuff too, but to me it isn't the same. I can't explain it, but I feel it. (Wow, that sounds dumb!)
Marvin has parents and a sibling and Odyssian friends, but he just doesn't have the power to caprute my imagination...at least not yet.
Marvin's fine. I like Tamika better but hopefully things will only get better as we continue to hear the Washington's as a family. You have to admit that "Sunday Morning Scramble" was pretty hilarious.
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. ♡
Marvin is okay. The Mailman Cometh and Sunday Morning Scramble show him at his best I think. I think I would [probably miss him if he left, but I could be quickly consoled.
Certainly not my favorite character in the world... but he's alright. Like Bearliz, I thought he had some of his best moments in Sunday Morning Scramble. Albeit, his character was bit over the top, but still hilarious all the same.

No, he's not my favorite character. Like Catspaw said, he isn't an attention grabber. He hasn't been involved in any major plots; he's been used more as a supporting role.
