The poll speaks for itself, what is your favorite video game genre? :-k Mine would have to be RTS. \:D/ Please comment!

Real-time strategy, definitely. And I'm currently drooling over previews of Starcraft II.

FPS's and TPS's are fun on occasion as well, but the former tend to give me motion-sickness after a while.

Wow, a female who likes RTS's, I'm impressed. =D>
The world would be a better place if more girls played video games. \:D/

I never really liked Starcraft; I prefer the Command & Conquer and Warcraft series.

I like role-playing games and simulation games.
RPG's- Nancy Drew, Kingdom Hearts (sorta)
Simulation: Zoo Tycoon, Sim Coaster, Civilization (it's either a simulation or a role-playing game. Or is it a RTS?)
Yeah, I like video games/computer games. \:D/ Sorta obivous, considering my avvie and sig. :anxious:

Civilization is an RTS. I never would've known that you liked RPG's. :headscratch:

Believe it or not, I've played a few Nancy Drew games. They're not bad.

I think it's a tie for second between Third-Person Shooters and the frustrating puzzle games. ](*,)

Ha. perhaps. =P

I've been wanting to play Warcraft for a while now. The demo I played of WC3 was great.

Also, technically, Civilization isn't an RTS--it would be classified as a turn-based strategy game, I believe. ^^

I prefer RTS, but it's also great to play FPS. I've fallen in love with Battlefront II, oddly enough, and I think it would be great to play other FPS - like America's Army, or Call of Duty. However, parents aren't partial towards such games, so I'm just waiting until the time comes. ;)

That's right, I wasn't thinking. ](*,)

And you must get WC3 if you liked the demo; it's one of the best games I've played.

Wow I like how one of the biggest type of games, Action/Adventure/Platformers, whatever, isn't even on there. ;)

But yeah I like those and RTS and some RPGs though I don't really get that into them very often these days because they are just too time consuming. Command & Conquer is definitely the best RTS series, though.

Overall I prefer good old fashioned 2-D platformers or Shootem ups though... :noway:

Wow, another CNC fan, I thought I was the only one. \:D/

Old Shootem ups like Metal Slug and Contra can be quite entertaining. :D

Tough Question... I went ahead and voted for the 1st option because that's currently what gets most of my video game time.
Pseudonym wrote:I like destroying everything with First-Person Shooters!
I've been guilty of enjoying a couple of these, though it's not normally my cup of tea... like Elf, I tend to get motion sickness from them.
Pseudonym wrote:I like breaking my head on Role-Playing Games/Puzzles
I do, actually, I just don't happen to own very many. :p
Pseudonym wrote:I like Simulation and other boring games!
More like, I used to think they were really cool. Now I'm leaning toward the boring. ;)
Pseudonym wrote:I'm an addict to World of Warcraft!
Um, no.
Pseudonym wrote:I hate video games because I'm a loser!
Yes, I even fall into that category on occasion. :-$

Real Time Stratagy, especially Battle for Middle Earth Anthology (available now at the Electric Palace for the low, low price of 39.99 plus tax!) are the best, and is the best genre.

Sports games go under Simulation and other boring games.

I enjoy turn-based strategy more than real-time (although what little I've played of Age of Empires and Starcraft, I've liked)...
Generally speaking, I'll play just about anything as long as it's good, but most of the time, I wind up with platformers or RPGs; particularly MMORPGs, but usually of a more science-fiction vein than fantasy...
