Favorite Animation Movie?
I just saw an old animated movie and was simply wondering . . . I have watched few Disney animated movies and even less animated movies aside from Disney's and was wondering what was good.

I as well, besides from Rasputin, I think that's a really cute movie. I love all the singing.Mira Winter wrote:Agreed. I was about to post that one, in fact!Kairi wrote:Anastasia is a very sweet movie. One of my favorites.

As do I, very nice soundtrack. Tis quite... well Americanized, but it was still enjoyable.Lucy Pevensie wrote:I as well, besides from Rasputin, I think that's a really cute movie. I really like Anastasiatoo! I just fastforward through a bit of the Rasputin stuff and I deleted his song off of my soundtrack. Other than that, it's bery sweet and fabulous!Bertha Olivia wrote:As do I, very nice soundtrack. Very creepy. That song makes me crack up too...I just randomly burst into that song sometimes. And Bartok is so funny.Mira Winter wrote:Yes, he is creepy. Probably the biggest rival to Disney animation is Don Bluth's production company (which, sadly, he never came up with a creative name for). Bluth was originially an animator for the Disney company but left in the Disney Dark Ages to start his own company. Shortly after he left, Disney got going strong again with Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast and the rivalry was in full swing in the early 90's. Here are some of Don Bluth's movies and dates:
1982 - Secret of Nimh (not at all accurate to the book but a great movie anyway)
1986 - An American Tail
1988 - The Land Before Time (only the first one, he had nothing to do with the horrible sequals... no offense Aria )
1989 - All Dogs Go to Heaven
1994 - A Troll in Central Park
1995 - The Pebble and the Penguin
1998 - Anastasia
My favorite of those is probably the original Land Before Time. The music is outstanding.

The Gospel:
Holy God in love became
Perfect man to bare my blame
On the Cross He took my sin
By His death I live again
Holy God in love became
Perfect man to bare my blame
On the Cross He took my sin
By His death I live again
He didn't "help create it", he directed and produced it. Secret of NIMH was crazy because it deviated so far from the book... but it's really not that bad of a movie.Kairi wrote:Don Bluth helped create the Pebble and the Penguin?! I love that movie!
Some parts of the Secret of NIMH were kinda...0_o.

That's what I meant.STRYPER wrote:He didn't "help create it", he directed and produced it. Secret of NIMH was crazy because it deviated so far from the book... but it's really not that bad of a movie.Kairi wrote:Don Bluth helped create the Pebble and the Penguin?! I love that movie!

The rats and mice getting their shots part was really weird.

Lord Of The Rings (the animated 1980's version; they also made "The Hobbit").
