Nigerian Officials in need of help to transport $50 Million
Am I the only person in the world who hasn't received one of these emails? I think I'm out of it...I get emails that I've won a 500 dollar gift certificate from Visa and a new Ford, but none from a Nigerian or Hungarian official. I'm hurt. ![Boo hoo! :boohoo:](./images/smilies/eusa_boohoo.gif)

They started awhile ago, so maybe they figure most people have caught on by now?
I can't remember the last time I got one, but then I use a spam email account to register on any site that seems suspicious. I really don't even read that mail. So um... if you really want that or any other spam, maybe try signing up with a bunch of those ***FREE IPHONE when you sign up for 12 other things and buy 8 other products*** websites? ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/wink.gif)

We've gotten SOOO many spam emails from Nigeria.
It's ridiculous - who do they think would actually fall for that? We also get a lot of emails like this one:
Oh, for our kindness we usually get like 20% of the fortune.
Doesn't that sound like a great opportunity????

It's always some poor widow with cancer - no children - whose dead husband from the UK/Africa/New Orleans etc. wanted to give his millions to needy people. Here writes Lady peggy morrison, suffering from cancerous ailment. I am
a widow my husband Sir Richard Morrison an Englishman who is dead. My
husband was into private practice all his life before his death. My
husband and I made a vow to uplift the down-trodden and the
less-privileged individuals as he had passion for people who can not
help themselves due to physical disability or financial
predicament I can adduce this to the fact that he needed a Child from
this relationship, which never came. When my late husband was alive he
deposited the sum of 20 Million which were derived from his vast
estates
and investment in capital market with his bank here in UK. Presently,
this money is still with the Bank. Recently, my Doctor told me that I
have limited
days to live due to the cancerous problems I am suffering from. I have
decided to donate this fund to you and I took this decision because I
do not have any child that will inherit this money. please assure me
that you will act just as I have stated herein.
Hope to hear from you thanks. contact my private email address

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. ♡

Some times it sounds fairly convincing...
Just kidding.
Maybe cause I've got good protection, but I haven't gotten any spam in a long time. Any I do get goes to my junk folder, and I get rid of it right away.

I've gotten a few of the genuine Nigerian scam emails.
One was a request for use of your bank account to transfer money into the US from Nigeria. And if you did that,... you'd get 10% of 500,000.
Which is $50,000.
I'd be set for life.
If it were true. In reality, I'd be ripped off for life. ![Stark Raving Mad ](./images/smilies/willy_nilly.gif)
btw... y'all might find this interesting. I actually know of a guy who lost $200,000 to the Nigerian scammers.

We aren't saying anything bad about Nigerians. It could be "the famed American scam" but it just happens that these people purport to be from Nigeria. So no offense is meant to anyone.
