Suggestions for the Town of Odyssey

Post by Fenix »

Well i think if we have any concerns or wish to give some comments about how things are run we should voice our opinions.

I think there are too many places to post. Kinda confusing.

Hm, a bank? :-k Now that would be interesting.

But I like things just the way they are. :D

Yes...same here. It kind of sparked the long-dead webboard junkie-ness inside me, actually.

I like things the way they are too. I really think this board has potential.........esp with getting paid to post.

One thing I've noticed which is pretty good..........you get paid for your posts, but the more you put in your post the more money you make for that post...........so hopefully that will eliminate the frequent one-word replies to threads.

But yeah, things are cool the way they are here, I really don't think we need anything more or any changes here.

Peace Out

GIMP!

I haven't seen you in forever. Good to see you again.

To stay ontopic: I quite agree about the money system. Kiss goodbye to those "LOL" posts forever!

Oh, I'm sure we'll have the typical LOL posts. Some people are slaves to habit, you see, and are doomed to repeat the mistake of history. Likewise, there is a sort of member type that do not appreciate the art of long posts. For example, in the mayoral elections, they're more likely to vote for someone who says "Vote 4 meee if i were mayor iut wuld totall;y roxxorrrs!!!" Than someone who makes a sincere stirring speech. They also dig BIG ALL CAPS MESSAGES and cutesy symbols. \:D/ =; 8-[

I think we should be rewarded for proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, but that's just me. ;)

Are you suggesting discrimination against the gramatically-challenged?!?

There's a difference between being grammatically challenged, and putting forth no effort at all to be grammatically sound.

I'm around.......sorta.......but I generally do more reading than actual posting these days...........this weekend will probably be my highest volume of posts per day.

"LOL", "I agree", "ditto", Yup", and other pointless posts just for the sake of posting.

And so far it appears to be working as I haven't seen any such posts here yet that have one word.......or one line at the most...........generally speaking most of the posts I've seen have quite a bit of detail to them.......granted there are some cases where it's just not possible to write a whole lot in the response, but a person can do better than a few words...........hopefully the money system encourages thought-out posts.

Peace Out

God, Grant us the peace that comes from honest dealings so that no fear of discovery will haunt our sleep May we inflict no pain, bring no shame, and seek no profit by another's loss.

I very much like how it is but I look forward to the adding of more things like a ToO stock market. \:D/
