It's that time for heats and lots of Chocolate. :inlove: And I think to myself "Big deal or just an excuse for store to sell stuff? You decide!
Just smell those burning leaves, the warm baked bread, and the hot apple cider. Ahhh.

There is no way you can be for Valentines day! It's against cardinal and moral laws! :noway: ;)

It's not a big deal for me, I actually try not to even notice it. The hearts on the doors and windows get frightning after a while though. :anxious:

I went to buy a rose from the flower shop, a Red Rose for my sister when it was "r" day at our homeschool co-op. I had the feeling that everyone was thinking it was for my (non-existant) girlfriend. :sick:

Why does the day have to be there? All it does is add pressure on already difficult relationships. All boy/girl relationships are difficult, don't try to tell me otherwise. :D

Added poll option from Top's suggestion, then realized that poll question "Important" was probably supposed to be option #1. ;)

I don't make a big deal out of it. I'd rather express love to my friends/family every day than on one day that Hallmark has designated. My ideal gift to give and/or get would have to be a red hooded sweatshirt. :D

For me, it's a non-holiday. It's a special day for those who ... have people to send chocolates and flowers to and stuff, but I'm not one of those people, so it's more of a nonexistent day that just happens to be on February 14th.

I would say it's not important to me. I'd say maybe it's fine for it to be special to those who are married, but if you're in retail you've got to love it. :inlove:

I wouldn't notice..except for when I go to Wal-Mart or my church! :-s Now, if I was married I might care, but really we should appreciate one another each day of the year not just on a special holiday. \:D/

I myself do not really care, but my dad always brings my mom a boquet [sp] of roses. When of all of the Valentine's Day stuff goes on clearance, my mom buys lots of chocolate!

I really could care less---usually nothing happens on Valentine's Day--though, today my dad surprised me and my mom with cards and he got me the movie Cars and my mom got Valentine colored yarns. (she loves to knit) :)

Seriously though - it's not a big deal to me. I can express my love towards family members during any day of the year... Though, there IS candy...

My family has never celebrated it... it's not like Christmas or Easter or anything. It's for couples and hey, if they want to spend money, why not? ;)
