Bindi Irwin

following in the foot steps of her dad (Steve)

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Like she said in a clip I saw on the news, she's been in front of cameras her whole life. :) I recall seeing the ep where her mom was giving birth to her!

Not the actual birth... but Steve joining her in the hospital, etc.

Haha, do you have an American parent too? Her accent sounded a somewhat muted for an Australian (but very cute). :)

She's a pretty neat kid. It would be very hard to be on TV all your life though and have your parent's death so highly publicized I think so. :shrugs:

No offense, but I've never understood the ... interest in her. Sure, she's cute. She had a famous father, but I never really understood the interest in him, either.

Not that I'm glad he died, but I just never "got it." Perhaps I'm lacking something.

I think the interest in Mr. Irwin was that he got really close to some really dangerous animals...

I never really liked his show. It was very cheesy it seemed. I mean Terry exclaims that "This is Steve's most dangerous mission" or "Steve has never encountered such a dangerous creature" more than once. I never thought of him as an icon but he may be in Austrailia.
