If you could arrange your own album . . .

What twelve episodes would you choose?

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

Post by Waluigi Freak 99 »

Mine would consist of . . .

1) The Perfect Witness, Part One
2) The Perfect Witness, Part Two
3) The Perfect Witness, Part Three
4) The Mysterious Stranger, Part One
5) The Mysterious Stranger, Part Two
6) The Case of the Secret Room, Part One
7) The Case of the Secret Room, Part Two
8) Waylaid in the Windy City, Part One
9) Waylaid in the Windy City, Part Two
10) The Cross of Cortes, Part One
11) The Cross of Cortes, Part Two
12) Real Time

Keep in mind that I have not heard "A Name, Not a Number", "The Time Has Come", "The Final Conflict", "The Underground Railroad", "Gone . . .", ". . . But Not Forgotten", and "The Search for Whit". I hope to hear at least some of these episodes soon, and I'm sure the list will require editing afterwards.

You like two and three-parters, huh? ;)

There are so many episodes out there that I could not even begin to think of my top twelve. Some that would be at the top of my list would include:

The Fifth House on the Left, Parts I, II
The Pact, Parts I, II
For Whom the Wedding Bells Toll, Parts I, II, & III
Tornado!
Malachi's Message, Parts I, II, & III
The Present Long Ago
Now More than Ever

Of course, the list could change constantly, because my favorites always switch, depending what mood I'm in and what I'm listening to at the time.

Yep. But I like mysteries more.

True that.

I remember reading that Focus on the Family will release an album entitled, "My Favorites" (or something to that effect). I wonder how that will work. It is possible that Adventures in Odyssey fans will be able to select twelve episodes to be placed in an album that will be mailed to them. Other companies have made products like that.

But, it's hard to tell with just the name of the album.

Wow, what an interesting challenge! My problem with stuff like this is that I always have way too many favourites. :( I guess that's a good thing, though. ;) I could make many lists of eps that I really like, but here's my attempt at a list of only 12, in no particular order.

~ A Name, Not a Number I + II
~ The Present Long Ago
~ Suspicious Minds
~ Top This!
~ Love is in the Air I + II
~ Back to Bethlehem I, II, III
~ The Cross of Cotes I + II

Ooo, "The Last Great Adventure of the Summer" is a good choice! I should have put that one on my list, but I didn't think of it. :( Ahhh! Lists like this are too hard for indecisive people like me.

Connie, I & II
The Time Has Come
The Mortal Coil, I & II
Waylaid in the Windy City, I & II
Unto Us a Child is Born
A Day in the Life
The Perfect Witness, I, II & III

Connie and Eugene's salvation experiences... a nice sampling of Blackgaard and Richard Maxwell...my favorite Christmas episode...one of my favorite slice of life episodes...the timeless It's a Mortal Coil... :-

Can't think of a better album (of course, making my Top 100 list made this one much easier).

The Battle 1 & 2
Eugene's Dilemma
Hard Losses
Checkmate
Another Chance
Last Resort

These are probably in no paricular order, and you can all probably guess what my theme is. Anyone want to guess?(it isn't that hard!)

I'm getting this odd and unexplainable feeling that you just might be a Richard Maxwell fan...but I'm probably wrong. ;)

You are good! Yes, I like Richard Maxwell a lot. And Focus on the Family is getting on my nerves with all this silly nonsence to do with Eugene and a bunch of other things and all the new ones seem boring to me. Sorry, about that. Me just a little angry right now. Something to do with a friend of mine. Well, good day!

It makes me sad that Richard Maxwell's story was never finished. SPOILER WARNING! Oh, sure, he popped back up in "I Slap Floor", but that was just a practical joke. SPOILERS END HERE! I'd like to see him return, and perhaps get saved, but I feel that it's far too late in the series to bring him back now.

You're right. I just wish he could come back. It would be an awesome story line. I would listen intently and well, be happy again. But that may never happen before Odyssey ends. But they should try to tie up any loose ends before closing odyssey and let people hang about certain things and there would be no more odyssey. Let;s hope, right?

I was floored when I read your first post and didn't see it in there. :thud:

Um... I don't think I could write a list like that. I'd probably have to have categories of 12-show albums and that could get really complicated. #-o

I considered making a list like that, but it got way too complicated with too many categories.
