I think it's semi-hard...just because, well- I'm terrible at math! But- once you get the processes down, it's not that hard. :)

I didn't like it. Geometry is better, IMHO.

It is different, and I really have no clue what most of the "fun tricks" that the math books think that you need to know are good for, but I've survived it for one year already so it must not be too bad.

I'm antipathic to algebra in retrospect because it's basically the huge swath of slogging you have to do to get to anything fun, i.e. calculus.
"Sonuna" Taranimak ("Sonuna" Sharkquill) has been content lately. She admired own very fine Bed recently. She talked with a parent recently. She talked with a friend recently. She had a good meal recently. She admired a fine tastefully-arranged Desk recently.
She is a citizen of The United States of America. She is a member of The State of Minnesota. She is a member of The Town of Odyssey.
"Sonuna" Taranimak likes Bauxite, Copper, Green jade, the color navy, cloaks, ballistas, cats for their aloofness and hydras for their seven heads. When possible, she prefers to consume Dr Pepper and ramen.
She lives at a relaxed pace. She tends to avoid crowds. She has a fertile imagination. She is completely disorganized. She is very distant and reserved. She tends not to openly express emotions. She needs caffeine to get through the working day.

i actually found it very easy. if you know your arithmatic (multiplication addition division etc.) you should find it quite easy. but some people are good at it and some people arent.

Yeah, I basically agree with Sonuna. But math was fun for me, and Algebra was fairly straightforward and easy to understand. I liked it much better than Geometry.

No, no! :shame: Definitely not for Writing, History, Geography... I could go on! Math and logical things are just my strength. (As noted on a previous thread.) ;)

Unlike most people here, math is not my strong point, and I struggled through Al. 1, and am about ready to give up on Al. 2. Geometry is even worse. :anxious: But don't let me discourage you. \:D/

Yeah, yeah. Whatever. :noway:

They may not be your strong point but you're probably still pretty good at them.

:proff: < that's you ;)

I don't like math...but it's my best subject. I'm not quite sure how that worked out... :doubt: But yeah, Algebra wasn't too bad, but I didn't like geometry. Too many terminologies to remember. :-

When I was doing it, I thought it was hard, but now it doesn't seem so bad compared to Geometry.. :noway:

I actually think Algebra 1 is pretty easy once you get it. :D I enjoyed it so much more than the proofs in Geometry.

x+5 = 15

(x+5) - 5 = 15 - 5

x = 10

\:D/

Hope you enjoy Algebra cowgirl! \:D/

That kind of stuff I caught onto quite quickly, but my math skills weren't really up to the challenges of the more complicated stuff. :( Plus I don't like math, so I never wanted to spend as much time on it as I probably should have. :anxious:

Cowgirl, don't worry about algebra! They just like to give stuff fancy names! I'm sure you can do it.

I couldn't stand Advanced Math (kinda like Pre-Calc...): I think I'm more fond of Algebra now, just because of the hardness of the advanced stuff. O:)
