AIO 47 & Changes to Album Format...

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

AIO 47 & Changes to Album Format...

Post by EugeneFan »

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been able to update my website lately. I know it's a shock, but I actually did update for once ;). See Eugene Forever for some information regarding the 47th album, as well as the format of albums in general. Feel free to discuss here :).

Yay \:D/ I know many of you don't like the jewel cases, but I do, and didn't like that new case. And it's nice to know that there will be a bonus insert. And it's nice the eugeneforever was updated too ^_^

Wow, thanks for the info and the update, EugeneFan! \:D/ Yay! My collection will look kind of messed up, with the three taller sets and then back to the jewel cases, but whatever. The cover does look rather mysterious. Is that other guy supposed to be Eugene's dad? Because his hair makes him look rather...weird. Is he supposed to be wearing a black hat with an inverted pom-pom on the top that causes that bump on his head? :-k

I for one like the jewel cases. Since my collection consists mostly of the jewel cases I am happy about the change. My collection already looks strange, but the jewel cases are so much easier to deal with. I like the cover also. \:D/

YES! I love the jewel cases! I like the cover art, but that guy does look rather freakish.

No, that would be his concealed Mohawk...

I don't think that is Eugene's dad. I think it is the new bad guy.

One of the great things about volume 47 will be the 2 for 1 promo that they are doing.

You can see the promo on the album cover graphic if you enlarge the one on the Tyndale site.

What Tyndale is doing there, is shrinkwrapping 2 copies of the same album together, so that when you buy the new album, you have another copy of the full album to give to a friend to introduce Odyssey to them.

This promotion will run from March through May of 2007 and is only available with album 47.

Ah. I'm glad it's probably not his dad.

I could be wrong but I really don't think Leonard would be dressed in black or reaching out to grab Eugene as is shown in the picture.

Wow! The 2 for 1 is a neat promo, but rather a strange album to do it on. Most of the episodes seem to be in the middle of their respective storylines. Would it have made more sense for them to do this promo with a reissue of a classic album?

That is a pretty cool promo - if I do that, then my best friend won't have to borrow my latest set for two months (:x) - I could just give her her own! \:D/ Thanks for pointing that out, jollyholiday! Though Darcie is right that this seems like an odd set to do it on, unless it's because of the "Celebrating 20 years" thing on the cover. :-k

*watches out for freaky guys with concealed mohawks from now on* Thanks for the warning, Bennett! ;)

I'll keep one and use the second one.

I'll keep one as a back up copy.

Actually I liked the way they're packaged now because they can go those media storage boxes easier and I found that I don't need those CD carriers to house them all in. However that's just my personal opinion.

Hmm...that looks like a hat to me. I guess it could be hair, but that wasn't my impression. And I'm pretty sure that is Leonard Meltsner. After all, it was implied in several of the episodes that Leonard was disguising himself as a homeless person, and they can look a bit creepy at times. Plus, Leonard kept popping up in random places all through "Cover of Darkness," so the setting of him sneaking up behind Eugene makes perfect sense to me. Also, notice that you can't see either of their eyes. ;)

Anyway, I had really grown to liking the new albums, but I can get used to the jewel cases again, I suppose. And that's a spiffy "20th Anniversary" banner! \:D/
