What perks you up when you're down?

So, my college football team was horrendously slaughtered tonight. Yes, they were out of their league, yes, they're just developing their sports program--but oh, the sheer pain of the horrific loss. I am left in the depths of melancholy sadness...

So...alas...what must I do to be happy again?

When y'all feel gray. What do you do if even a funny AIO won't pick you up? Sleep? Eat lots of candy? Go to the movies? What perks you up like a shot of espresso to your spirit?

Listen to music. Watch television.

It's even nastier when you're down and you have a pile of homework to complete. :(

Being around my family. :D
Writing my feelings out in my journal helps me a lot.

Well, I wish that my football team could deliver like that! But tonight, they were definitely the cause of my blues!

Boy ain't that true -_-;

Talking to friends is good for me, even if it's not talking about what's bothering me.

Yeah, I know how you feel, LiviNoel. Last night, our college football team came so close to beating a Pac-10 team (we're in the WAC)! It was like watching them play USC last year all over again - what an emotional rollercoaster. :( You get over it eventually though. ;)

well, my antidote used to be talking to my g/f... but now that that's gone, that in itself is a source of being down. :doubt:

I don't have much anymore, but sometimes music works,... occasionally playing a game, and usually watching a good movie helps. \:D/

I find the best cure for me when I'm feeling down is being with other people. The more time I spend alone the worse I feel. After spending some time interacting with real people and realizing that I'm not alone, the situation almost always looks better.
