Clogging on America's Got Talent
On the new show called America's Got Talent, (alot of stuff on this show I do not enjoy watching) there's a guy in the Clogging act. Clogging is like a dance done with your feet. You hear their feet hit the floor, and it goes with the tune. It's really cool. But anyway, my brothers know a guy in it. The Guy's name is Brian. He makes his living by Clog dancing. Brian's wife's dad, is my brother's boss. I'm not kidding. We're going to watch it wednesday and thursday, to see what he places.

That's so cool! Now I almost want to watch the show...
Clogging is a bit like Tap, but the shoes and the style are different. There's the more Irish step dancing style, a la Riverdance. Their shoes are harder, often with nails pounded in for the noise. There's also the more Appalachian style. It's American, of course, and the shoes have two metal plates instead of one on regular tap shoes. I tapped from ages 5-21, and learned snippets of both.
...hmm... Wednesday and Thursday... *makes mental TV schedule*

Hmm, cool. Sorry about posting this in the wrong forum, Trent. I acually thought that I posted this in HT but I guess not. But yes, it is a lot like tapping. I found a link to their performace, but the site it's on has some very objectionable items on it.darcy wrote:That's so cool! Now I almost want to watch the show...

I love these guys. Fans from Day 1! And I was bummed when they didn't get in at first, but fortunately, they made it because of the Wild Card round!

Yeah, that was their first try. Here's their second try: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JAVlWXDTUo
Pierce voted them out becasue he didn't "like the look" of their ripped pants and sleevless shirts, the first time. So they came up with this for their second try.

I'm not sure if you caught the really funny part though. Peirce voted them off because of their pants and shirts, so they came back, in black suits (because that was what peirce wore) then when on stage, the team leader said "Hey Peirce!" and motioned to their clothes. Kinda like saying "we changed our clothes for you". And Pierce nodded, and smiled. Then at that second, one of the guys said, "And this is for America!!" they ripped off the suits, and went with something more their style. Camo pants, and black sleevless shirts. So they got Pierce pretty good.

You can watch some of the acts on www.nbc.com
There are a lot of good acts on the show, but there are also some acts that aren't so good. I like the idea of the show I just wish that they had not let some of those acts on stage so that it could be more of a family type show. Anyway that little red headed girl with the huge voice is pretty amazing as well.
