Avoiding Certain Episodes

We have every Odyssey album save for two, and my wife and I are always re-listening to episodes in the car. I have noticed that I really don't like those "stand alone" episodes, especially when they have nothing to do with the "core" characters.

I don't mind the ones in which Connie or Whit play a minor part in the story, but the ones I can't stand are those in which one of the kids at Whit's End has some boring adventure and it has nothing to do with the characters I have grown to love.

Or am I the only one who does this?

You're the only one.

:shame:

O:) Just kidding. I personally though, love the stand-alone episodes more than HUGE series of episodes. I think they need to build the characters of the KIDS on the show.

Yep, you're the only one.

Actually the only episodes I really skip are the Danny Schmidt episodes. I absolutely cannot stand them because the character that played Danny is very disrespectful to his parents, and a bad actor. I just cannot stand them!

I only listen to the "adult" themed episodes, and maybe the Barcley's...

Agreed, and Dannys voice is like eww.

Danny's voice is definitely like "eww." :) He sounds like a girl, whines like a girl, and acts like a girl.

Sorry to all the girls out there. I'm speaking more of little girls... the ones who are about 5 years old.;)

Actually, I DO like all of the episodes. It's just that most of the time I like to listen to the ones that are part of a running theme. That's the thing I like about having all the episodes: you pick up a piece of information on various characters here and there, even if the info is not directly related to the particular episode I'm listening to. I am really glad the writers pay attention to details like tihs.

I like all of the episodes as well, except for The Great Wishy Woz, I NEVER listen to that one, ever.

I avoided it cos I thought it would be really "kidsy"... but I heard it last year for the first time, and liked it. And I'm not even a Wizard of Oz fan, go figure.

All of the episodes are pretty much worth listening to - at least once, every 5 years or so. Though the "shorties" (half episodes) in the 2000 era are pretty bad.

No titles spring to mind, but I know that are some that I skip past.

Castles & Cauldrons? How can you not like that episode? That definitely beats a lot of episodes out there!

I do avoid certain episodes. I listen to AIO at work a majority of my time and end up listening to the entire album because I have nothing else to listen to!

And usually, I end up like a new episode. XD

I love the Castle & Caldrons episode. Though I haven't heard it in years!

I really like how AIO has been getting rid of some of Chris's wrap-arounds at the ends of the first parts of episodes. On CD, it's not necessary and I'm likin' it.

I don't have a single album of my own, but there are some episodes on my computer that I don't bother with because they bore me somewhat. I can't say which ones, though, because I haven't been listening to Odyssey much lately... :-$ :anxious: I've been busy...

To me, some episodes are either annoying or highly disturbing. Though I can't think of any at the moment, I usually skip over them when I listen to them at night.

Usually when I don't like an episode, I usually just tune it out while I'm listening to it. I usually get bored immediately and just tune it out and think about other things. It's a natural reaction.

It's very rare for me to flat-out dislike an AIO episode, but out of nearly 600 episodes there are bound to be some that aren't as good as the others. For me, I absolutely abhor "No Stupid Questions", "The Midnight Ride", "Fairy Tal-e-vision", and "The Power of One". There are a few others here and there that could have been better, but these are the only ones that I can hardly stand to hear.

Oh yes, "The Midnight Ride" is one I am very not fond of... Something about Marsha's pesky questions just get on my nerves... :)
