Based on my extensive research online (read: 1 minute of Google) and cross-referencing to a trade secret website known only as
IMDB, I have found the answer of:

The answer depends on each different type of use. Sharpies are good for applications that may get wet or certain types of fabrics.

Phi is a Greek letter. It can mean a number of different things, including the circumference of a circular area.

I think that is pi. Phi stands for in math mainly for the Golden ratio.
