I discovered that "Fold" can mean hill, which is useful knowledge when reading "Pied Beauty" by Gerard Manley Hopkins, which I'm sure everyone does frequently.

This evening I learned (while my car was traveling at a speed of 65 mph) that my car no longer has any brakes........it did this morning.......and I can't get it to a mechanic until Wed (a little problem called have to wait for a paycheck)...........and I have to somehow make it to and from work (about 12 miles each way) for the next 3 days in that car.

EVERYONE in the house learned (tonight) that when baking a cobbler........baking occurs much faster when the oven is ON........the time was up and I checked to see if it was done (note: I had no part in making it or putting it in the oven) and informed the others tht I wasn't quite sure but thought it (the cobbler) would actually get done tonight IF they turned the oven on.

I learned that driving the above mentioned car without brakes is not a good idea..........does damage to the body (both human and auto)

That you can do a lot in a couple of hours to your room when your brother is coming home and he has not told the school where he goes to that he used to be in the Young Marines. (He's at Texas A&M, the Corps of Cadets.)
