Adam Young is the Bomb
I just listened to the 2 first songs on Port Blue and all I can say is........wow. I've never heard music as good as that. Amazing.

I'm sure he will be, but his creativity is definitely going to burn out eventually. That's just the way it works. Either he's going to have to cool it for a while, or the musical quality is going to take a downturn.Termite wrote:He already has seven albums out, Riccy, and he's still going strong.

My favorite song of his is "Galaxies" I can't tell you how many times I've listened to it, cause I've lost track. You would laugh if you saw me, mouthing the lyrics and dancing in my chair.
I sorta look like that smiley.

NEW SONG! With a dude from Blink 182. The video I attached is official. Thus, the spoken intro from Adam hisself.

Thanks to KF for fixing this. Now you can delete Taps' post.Taps wrote:Hooray your youtube link doesn't work!

"Dementia" has so much more of a rock edge to it. It may be one of the best Owl City songs I've heard to date.

Oh I LOVE the new song.
I can't wait for the new album.

So do I! Looks like he's tryin' a new style of music. I like it! Mark Hoppus sounds good.

Here's something all you Adam Young-heads might love: http://summertimesend.com/album/light-and-colour-2

Owl City plus Relient K plus Australia?? :O And this guy seems quite good! I must pursue him further.Summertime's End wrote:Musical candy for the sweet-toothed. Think Owl City meets Relient K... in Australia.

Yup...oh and while we're on random electronic music, I just found this really epic thing called "Far Far Away." It's basically an electronic mashup of Star Wars music with random lines from the movies interspersed, from what I've heard so far. Pretty cool. http://farfarawayalbum.bandcamp.com/album/far-far-away

I'm currently listening to "Dementia" on my computer right now. Can I just say that it's next to IMPOSSIBLE to feel like a worm after listening to this song?
LOVE IT.

I hate Owl City so much. >_____> I want to kill myself whenever it comes on the radio.
(...Ok, that's obviously an exaggeration. But no.)
What's worse is I really like his song titles and the name "owl city". When I first heard of him, I thought it was going to be great. But then it wasn't. =(
I can't handle his voice. The music without his voice is alright, but not amazing. He's talented and whatnot. I don't mean to hate. But I just don't like it.
The space suits in Alligator Sky are fantastic, though.
