I prefer Latin because it is a scholarly language. Way too few people understand it and much fewer use it. I have had some formal training in Latin and none in Greek. Koine Greek script is too hard for me to read. Modern Greek vowels are all pronounced the same (read: lazy modern Greek speakers!), making the language harder than necessary to understand verbally+written.
