Got my SAT scores today (at last)! 460 in Math (with a percentile of 32%), 620 in Writing and an 8 for my Essay (with a percentile of 86%), and a 700 in Critical Reading, which means I had a national percentile of 95% \:D/

I don't even know what good scores are and what the percentiles really mean...

The highest you can get on each section is a 800, which means the perfect score is 2400. Percentiles basically just means the percent of people that took that test that you did better than, so with Critical Reading, I did better than 95% of the people that took the same test that I did.

Good job Marvin! How high does the essay grade go? For some reason I thought it was a 6.

Well, it is 1-6, but two readers score it, so you can get between 2-12. I probably could've had a better score if it wasn't for the fact that I didn't really finish it :p

Oh, got it. I know when I took it a few years ago I got the highest score one could get on the essay, but I'd forgotten the number, so it must have been a 12 then.

I keep bouncing between the city and my college. Tomorrow I have a funeral for a mother's friend so I'm in the city for the holiday. I'm still trying to get extra hours at the factory. I've saved enough for a term already but we all know I'll need more college than that.

I had my best week ever so far at market today! \:D/ I was hoping it would be a good day, with it being Memorial Day weekend. :D It was COLD here last night and first thing this morning! We had the coats, gloves, and heater out again, and it's almost JUNE.

Finished my second week at the ranch and it went well :) I'm rather sore from warming up one of the horses, but it was still a lot of fun.

Still applying for jobs and such, and trying to fill my time with useful/fun activities so I'm not on my computer the entire day.

Yesterday I got up at 6 am and drove 6 hours to Philadelphia to go to the wedding of one of my best friends. At the reception I sat with a couple friends from church and camp guy I hadn't seen in a while and wasn't expecting to be there. It was a really great wedding and reception. :D Then we drove 6 hours home and got back at 12:30 am.

This was my lovely graphing calculator that I used from grade 10 to 12 and I had to pay over $100 for it.
We used it for basic math stuff, nothing too intense really.

Then I start studying engineering in university and this is the calculator they make us use.
Image
A $10 calculator that's best feature is that it converts from polar to rectangular form very easily.
Where you can see only one entry at a time.
Brackets are difficult to maneuver and you can't store values as letters.

And I'm in basically all math engineering courses.... :(

I borrow Watson's fancy graphing/scientific calculator every week for market. \:D/ A customer commented on it last week too....

It's back up to hot 80s temps - but thankfully yesterday was beautiful for Memorial Day! :D My dad and Watson were off work, and we all pitched in to put a first coat of paint on our fence in the morning, and then went geocaching in the afternoon. I found one all by myself, and it even had a travel bug in it.

I got a 100% yesterday on my first of two finals in my Software Engineering class at the joint-vocational school I attend. :D The second one is in 2 hours. Hopefully I can do almost as well on that one.
