I'm not sure I understand.. why start praying for America now? SHouldn't you have been praying for it all alone, regardless of who is president, or who wil become president?
Hmm... logic? Never mind... I think it is slightly ridiculous to say that you'll start praying now for the country when you should have been praying een before 9/11... But, tis me...

Whoops.Dr. Watson wrote:Man, I can't believe Virginia went Democratic. We even elected a Democratic senator, too. Now we have a Democratic governor and two Democratic senators.
Actually, I was surprised Virginia went Democratic too. I've been following this all night long, and that was something I didn't expect.

The future surely will be interesting. I don't dare to predict it.

LOL @ people complaining about Obama being socialist and then saying Huckabee is so great.
Huckabee is basically a socialist who says "God" a lot and is against abortion and gay rights. He's hardly a conservative.
I'm hoping Jindal is available in 2012 but obviously its a long way off so we'll see what's going on in the world. As long as we don't pull a John Kerry we'll have a fairly good shot at retaking the White House most likely, because once everyone realizes Obama was making stuff up that he could never accomplish he isn't going to be too popular. But again, we'll see.

I'm not real big on getting involved in any political debate, but I do want to say one thing that I know for certain is that God is in complete control, no matter what happens. That's why I'm not worried about anything this election, sure my candidate didn't win, but God sees a lot bigger picture than we do, I think he's got this one under control

Scientific progress goes BOINK!

I'm sure many people said the same thing when Bush won. Don't forget that.JED wrote: "one of the worst and darkest days in history of the USA" I find that quite irritating.

On an aside note: I get really tired of people saying Sarah Palin is the next Reagan... How so? Show me proof... Because I've yet to see it. America is a great country and while I obviously disagree with Obama's politics, I tend to be optimistic and I genuinely hope he does well in his presidency.
Just a word of advice: don't be so quick to judge.DAM wrote:I'm not sure I understand.. why start praying for America now? SHouldn't you have been praying for it all alone, regardless of who is president, or who wil become president?

Just be assured that since this is a democracy you are free to have your "remnant" no matter how foolish it may be.
=D that's what we're here for.JED wrote:Wow you have to ruin everything!
you don't have to be white to be stupid.Skin color is an amazign thing. Only 40 years ago alot of us haven't gotten our full rights. People who still expereinced racism have lived to see an African-American president. That is not racism that is just noting a fact.
are you white?
we? you.Your just trying to put the flame out. Just sit there and realize for a second that we won.
and this is how liberty ends.JED wrote:This just shows how great America is. He won by a landslide people! That's just terrific he influenced so many people.
black men can be economic ignoramuses and political screwballs too, you know.Just look at American History. We went through slavery racism and the whole lot and we have pulled through that and elected a black man as President. That shows how truly great America is.
be irritated all you want, my dear. this is one of the worst and darkest days in the history of the United States of America. you will regret supporting Obama in 4 years.JED wrote:How so? God will end this right, he always will.![]()
You think Obama is the anti christ. Stuff like that and he will bring about the demise of the World? Funny.
If your understanding of government and economics equals that of your understanding of the ToO economics - I can only laugh. And how exactly am I so naive? I am far from stupid and I have been studying Government, Economics, and various other topics including Christian prophecy before.
Catholic != Kenyan Muslim with ties to terrorists in upbringing. I'd take an irish/scottish bootlegger over Obama, though the similarities are striking. There have been several instances where Christains believed that a President would bring about the end of the world. Such as JFK just because he was Catholic and other examples like that!
it is a wicked society. man is wicked. you should know this by now, you obviously have a great grasp on ECONOMICS AND GOVERNMENT LOLJED wrote:thelordismyshepherd wrote:In every wicked society there is a remnant.

we kill babies, we mock Christianity, and we slip into decay every moment. this is wickedness - not the actions, my dear, but the heart.
pray more than ever. without ceasing. but we have done wrong, electing a man who is not for our values to the presidency.Danielle Abigail Maxwell wrote:I'm not sure I understand.. why start praying for America now? *sigh* Thank you your commentary has been greatly noted Boquet. And no my knowledge of this economics does not equal any knowledge I may or may not have over the ToO...
No I'm black.
Liberty does not end just because Obama won by a landslide.
Yes it's quite possible for black men to do so but I higly doubt THIS one will. HE would not have won like this unless people truly believed he could help America for the better.
Nah I am pretty sure I wouldn't regret it...
I don't think he is the antichrist either I was just making a point.
Sentor Obama is not Muslim. He is a Christian as he has said hundreds of times!

more power to you. that was a rhetorical question. No I'm black.
I was actually referencing a quote about liberty dying to thunderous applause.Liberty does not end just because Obama won by a landslide.
but it is a descent that we've just increased.

*cries for America's darkest hour of doom and despair*
[/sarcasm]
Seriously, folks! Shouldn't you be more upset over 9/11 than this? He's just going to be the President. It's not like he's going to press a button and destroy America.
No, this is not our darkest hour. This is an election.
No, I wouldn't have voted for Obama. I probably wouldn't have voted for McCain either, most likely. I doubt that in the long run it will make a huge difference who won this election.
God said that He's in control of who our leaders our. So everyone who can't get over that can take it up with Him instead of complaining.
(This is addressed mainly to those who are weeping over our impending doom, not to those who would just have preferred McCain or something.)

Right...I wouldn't mind seeing the rapture occur on January 19th, though...or on January 20th, right in the middle of the innauguration.

I think that you guys are blowing this out of proportion. I mean you don't have to start talking about
Raptures and everything! And no liberty has not ended Obama won because a
LARGE MAJORITY of the American people believed that he would make a good president. And no he wasn't socialist or else he would not have won.
All in all let's be nice and try not to be rude or inconsiderate of anybody's feelings at all.

I'd rather have God come right now, anyway.
